Always a huge fan of Faye and of Chinatown in particular. A rare success in the modern era emulating the Old Hollywood glory years, Bogart, film noir.. Song honoring that at least obliquely.

This photo, though it looks like it was shot in the Sedona Wine Country, is actually from Melbourne, Down Under! Sent to me this AM by Colin Fielding. (That's our 7th record - 'True Story' on the table - cover art by Colin II, Colin Burns.) So fine a man and a pair of ears is he, who plays on his Australian streaming radio station, primarily music from local Boston bands (he’s a huge Bob Bradshaw fan!).

Colin’s been to the with his wife as well as to the to see a show of ours. His brogue is so thick I translate his conversation in my addled brain, but the man’s all heart so the words always come through.

Hat’s off to you Collin for your love of Boston music and for putting the radio where your ears are.

About a year ago we played in Rockport (with Brian King opening up for us) and we were astonished at how fine the crowd was. Up on their feet and dancing almost before we played a note. So handsome a room, phenomenal food n booze. Afterwards - the beach at night heavily stoned!
