"My name is Cassandra Taggart and I'm a third-year student that is double majoring in Atmospheric Sciences and Secondary Education. I am the current Secretary for Women In Science but I'm also apart of other organizations at UND. These include UND's Chapter of American Meteorology Society, UND's Writing Club and Queer-Trans Alliance. I am also a working as a STEM Ambassador for the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium! I'm excited to see what events we have instore for our organization!"

Introducing Nora Barnes our fundraising committee chair member!

"I’m Nora Barnes a freshman here at UND going for medical laboratory science. I will be the committee chair for fundraising and hope to be involved in some fun events. I’m from a small town in southeast Minnesota right between Rochester and Minneapolis. I grew up basically in the country with all sorts of animals, my favorite being the cats. My hobbies include any type of art but mostly painting, being outdoors, and volleyball. I enjoy traveling as well and have even made it to France. I hope to hear all about the rest of our club members too."

I'm a Chemistry Major on the Biochem track with minors in Biology, Pre-PA, and Space Studies. I'm currently working on my PPL at UND and I'm from Tacoma WA. I'm hoping to become a Dermatologist and a CFI/CFII.

Hello WIS members! Our first meeting will be September 24th from 2:30-3:30 PM at the Memorial Union room 103, here at UND! I can’t wait to see everyone.

Some things to remember: if you are interested in a leadership position, please come prepared with a short speech as we will be voting to fill the cabinet!

We’re here at the UND Wellness Center from 4-6 PM! Come check it out and grab some candy 😊😊

Come visit the us at the UND Organization Fair this Sunday (8/22/21) for some treats and a chance to sign up to be a member! The fair will be held outside the UND Wellness Center (weather permitting) and will be open from 4-6 PM! We hope to see you there ☺️

Meet the new president of the UND Women in Science Club, Maddi Cruff!
Maddi is an Atmospheric Sciences senior here at UND and she is also minoring in mathematics! She currently works for the Atmospheric Sciences Department as an Undergraduate Student Researcher.
Her goal for WIS is to become an organization and she is looking for members that want to join and/or run for a leadership position!
