Lorie Reedy Designs

Lorie Reedy Designs is a "cottage industry". I am a patchwork artist and proud to be helping preserve this art form. We are active in local powwows.

My family is Muscogee Creek and we live in TN. Seminole patchwork is an art developed by the women of the Seminole tribe. It is created by sewing strips of fabric together, cutting them apart and sewing them back together to form geometric designs and patterns. Once a strip of patchwork is complete it is then sewn into clothing. I have incorporated my designs onto powwow dance regalia and everyday
