5th Coatbridge Girl's Brigade

Thank you so much for everyone who attended our display on Tuesday night. I think the girls all had fun. Well done to everyone on achieving their awards. Thank you also for the kind gifts, cards and words. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the girls over the years and it was so difficult to say goodbye. I hope many of you will carry on your GB path and I hope to visit you in your new companies next session

A quick reminder for tomorrow night. Girls to be at church by 6.45pm. Full GB uniform or school uniform to be worn and long hair to be tied back. Girls to meet in crèche, enter by main door to church. The girls have all been practicing for this for a few weeks now and they would love to see their family and friends come along to support them.
We will commence at 7pm. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night

Coronation tea tonight at GB before our final rehearsal for next weeks display and awards ceremony xx

Hollywood Bowl is now booked for 10am next Saturday (13th). Can girls all be there by 9.50am. GB sweatshirt to be worn. We hope to take girls to McDonald’s afterwards. Still a couple of people to let me know if they will be going

Last night we had an extremely poor attendance at GB. I understand some of I’ll have been affected by the incident in the flats.
Next week is our final week to practice for our awards nights and it is important to have as many girls there as possible.
I will be booking Hollywood Bowl this week, if you haven’t replied so far can you please let me know ASAP, thanks

We will be having our annual display and presentation night on Tuesday 16th of May. All parents and family are invited to attend. I will give further information next week.
We are also planning on taking the girls on a fun day trip. This will be different from previous years. We plan to take the girls to Hollywood Bowl on Saturday 13th May and then to McDonalds for lunch. When I have an idea of how many girls will be attending I will try to book for 10am when hopefully it will not be too busy. Can you please let me know if your daughter would like to attend ASAP, thanks

Just a quick reminder that we are on holiday this week and next week and will resume on the18th of April. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter

Another night spent in the sanctuary. Girls made pop up Easter bunnies and we improvised and decorated Easter eggs and baubles. Let’s hope you all save your chocolate egg until Easter Sunday. We are on holiday the next two weeks and will see you all back on the 18th of April.

The heating has broken again so I e will be in the main church again tonight. I will open main door for access

With still no heating in the hall, we made use of the sanctuary on Tuesday night. A lovely film showing the Easter story, Easter egg hunt, hopefully we got them all or someone might have a chocolate covered bottom on Sunday 😍
We then had some games if charades and Chinese whispers.
I think the choir and reverend Selemani may be out of a job soon, the girls liked the pulpit

We are back on tomorrow night. There is still no heating in the hall so we are organising activities in the church sanctuary. Girls can enter by main door. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow

Unfortunately we have to cancel GB again tomorrow night. Fingers and toes crossed for next week

Due to there still being no heating in the church hall GB will not be on tomorrow night. If possible, can you let others know as not everyone is on Facebook, thanks. Hopefully we will be back to normal next week

Freezing cold night at Girls Brigade tonight with no heating in hall. But we won’t be beaten and girls carried out their craft activities in the church

A quick reminder that we have our church service on Sunday 5th February. Girls to meet in hall for 11.15am wearing full uniform. Family and friends are invited to join us for the service.
We will be on holiday on Tuesday 14th February as schools are on holiday
