Vintage cut work table linens from the 1970s(?) reworked into a shift dress and cropped button up. This button up pattern was rubbed off from a fav vintage shirt I found last year. From 1 pattern I’ve been able to get 3 different silhouettes from it!

Yellow onion skins, one of my favorite natural dyes. I live for anything that can be repurposed, especially food waste. I also recently learned from one of my customers that onion skins are used in making pretzels!

Each piece I hand paint goes through many stages as it is a slow ancient practice. Home made soy milk is used to secure the pigment to the fibers, in a clean sustainable way. And then each piece is left to cure for a minimum of 1 week! The way to a healthier world is through slow thoughtful acts 🌎 💚

and I have been working on a little something that we are very excited to finally bring into the world.

With a shared interest in community, local sourcing and slow living we’ve collaborated on a small run of bundle dyed cotton bandanas and scarves. Each purchase comes with the cutest seed “bombs” to add color to our urban landscape.

We will also be leading a seed “bombing” walk in Bushwick on June 23rd. More details to come!

Have a piece of clothing you love but is stained? Or just looking to give new life to something? Send it my way and I will dye/ paint/ masterfully cover up. This is a great way to keep clothing out of the landfill and keep its lifespan going for as long as possible!

I am accepting natural woven fibers only at this time, please make sure to check the tag before dming (very small amounts of synthetics may work, I’m talking 8% or less).

My first piece of 2023.

I didn’t really get to close out 2022 like I had hoped with Margo. There were welcome distractions like family time, and hunting for a new apartment with my boyfriend. But there was also SEVERE burn out from maintaining a full time job I enjoy while working on Margo. It’s always been so important to me that the time I spend on Margo should be fun and come with ease. As soon as it feels forced or exhaustive I know I need a break.

In need of rest and experiencing a creative road block I walked away. And like a cat it followed me back. Excited for all the new projects I plan to work on, and another year of pop ups. HELLO 2023!
