Happy 58th birthday to Sabina Classen, a German singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the Thrash Metal band Holy Moses. The band is well-known for being fronted by Sabina, and their highly brutal yet epic compositions.

Originally, Sabina doesn't like singing in a very throaty and almost demonic sounding style, to make sure she can't get the job to join Holy Moses. But, this had an inversive effect, and Ramon Brüssler (the band's main songwriter at the time) was extremely pleased with her performance and Sabina finally joins. The band played their first show with Sabina in November of 1981. She became one of the first women in Metal to use thrashy harsh vocals and death-styled growls.

In 1983, Sabina is married to the band's guitarist Andy Classen, and becomes Sabina Classen (the name she uses to this day). When the band recorded their sixth studio album "Reborn Dogs" in 1992, however after the recording was finished, they decided to disband. Andy, who has become a songwriter and producer, makes an album "No Matter What the Cause" in 1994 by the Holy Moses name. It causes problem with Andy and Sabina, who later that year gets divorced. After the official break-up of Holy Moses in 1994, Sabina formed a band called "Temple of the Absurd", and released two studio albums, but disbanded in 2000. Andy and Sabina became friends again by writing up new music and released "Disorder Of Order" in 2002. Although, Andy did not actually back in the band, but all songs on the album were written by him. Holy Moses was reformed in the year 2000, and are still active to this day.
