Pineywoods Audubon Society

The Pineywoods Audubon Society originated in 1966 as a Natural History Club and voted to become an affiliate of the National Audubon Society in 1969. For years, it operated as the Nacogdoches County Audubon Society until the late 1990s when it became the Pineywoods Audubon Society as it expanded its membership to residents of Angelina and other nearby counties.

Meetings are traditionally held monthly September through May on the the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Our meetings are free, open to the public, and normally include an informative program. We often host several field trips throughout this nine month period.
