Make your MP Crate system run cooler!

For the people who are currently using the Mopar Performance Crate harness and PCM kit I have written a document on how to make some engineering changes to your cooling fan system.

It covers making a simple change to drop the fan temperature from 226f to 217f

And to convert the system to run a high and low speed system using 2 cooling fans

**MP Crate Tach Adapter tested**

We have tested the Dakota Digital tach adapter with success. This plugs straight into the OBD port and receives the RPM signal over CANBUS. Response time is pretty good as well. This can also be set up to provide a "CHECK ENGINE" light that is missing in the MP crate harness kit.
Retails at $100 USD

We are getting a large amount of messages asking what we offer or if we can help.

So what do we actually offer?

What we are currently working on is an E-book that will entail what is required to make your VVT G3 Hemi run standalone on a budget.

This is to help the guys who have bought a used engine that has come with a PCM and engine harness and have previously simply thrown the original PCM and harness in the bin and were required to spend $1600+ on a standalone PCM and harness solution.

So if you have some previous electrical experience, can crimp a terminal on a wire, insert a terminal correctly into its numbered position in a connector, understand how a relay works and have a grasp on how to use a multimeter then this is probably for you.

The E-book will outline what you need to do to your original engine harness to remove unneccesary wires, how to modify an existing body harness or build a body side harness to the PCM if you never had one and how to supply the neccesary power and earths to the PCM.

It will include all the part numbers, quantities and supplier outlets where you can buy OE connectors and terminals to complete your installation as well as pin outs and wiring functionailty descriptions.

It will also entail the different methods you can use to power your harness, whether you use the more expensive weather/vibration proof Eaton power distribution centre from Mopar for a few hundred dollars or you do something more budget friendly for $50 that isnt water proof that can be safely mounted in the vehicles interior.

There will also be infomation covering the known differences between harness and PCM's and alterations you can make to mix and match the different parts such as running a 2016 PCM on a 2012 Harness.

Stay Tuned!

The first Stand Alone VVT harness nearing completion in the mock set up. Based on a 2012 Jeep SRT harness and modified the easiest way to give a neat finish. PCM is located forward and low in the engine compartment for visual appeal and utilises the factory Mopar Power Distribution Centre for ease of install and long lasting quality and is mounted out of sight up and under the fender. All thats left is to run the hidden harness from the inner fender to the interior for the 2 unplugged connectors shown in pic 4. This will be run up high in the inner fender so it is out of sight and away from engine heat.
