Sofoe Family Counseling a dynamic and exciting mental health practice that has unlimited potential and opportunity. Our counselors are contracted workers, allowing for flexibility in scheduling, to best serve the needs of our patients. Our mental health counselors work with individuals and families to promote mental health care and awareness. We work with patients with a multitude of needs including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, addiction, substance abuse, adhd, trauma, marital problems and su***de. We service children, families, couples and individuals to help in overcoming emotional and psychological problems. The optimal candidate for this position will be patient and dedicated to creating change within their respective communities as well as always striving to be the absolute best mental health professional they can be.

Qualifications:

•Knowledge of DSM-5, Baker Act Law, Medicaid requirements and standards, DCF requirements and standards.

•Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills

•Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

•Maturity and sensitivity to the special needs of the mentally ill population.

•Ability to work face-to-face with consumers in a fast paced and often stressful environment.

•Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.

•Ability read and interprets documents.

•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Sofoe Family Counseling is looking to hire an independent contractor who is currently working or has been working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the last year. Ideal candidate has experience providing therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Majority of caseload will be families & 6-18 yr olds

You will start out as a part-time contractor while your client base grows and get established on our participating insurance panels. The potential for a full-time schedule is likely as our practice is quickly expanding. Applicants who already have a steady client roster or are credentialed with commercial insurance will have priority.
