I have wanted to take No fail pistol from for probably the last three years, either my money or schedule always delayed it. Chuck Pressburg and No fail pistol is one of the best courses I have ever taken, for several reasons and I established this in the first hour and further cemented it the last hour of class , both instances occurred in the classroom without a round being fired . As for the shooting portion, as an instructor, Chuck uses this class to violently strip away all your comforts in your shooting. Not by berating or belittling you, but giving you parameters , a mirror to see and letting you discover how fast and how much control you need to achieve victory with them. If super low splits and practiscore and “I can live with a Charlie or delta”are your calling card, 25 yards and real accountability/accuracy will simmer that ass down quick. On the inverse, you can stand and deliver incredible accuracy but tight par times and movement and isolated SHO/WHO will show you , you can definitely be more well rounded. If you are in a wobble zone for 30 seconds for one shot and you are starting to fatigue, you are just as deficient, you have to trust what the gun/dot is telling you and send it , take the shot and reassess . Be mature enough to know , me at 25 sending five I have to adjust my cadence or close distance to make this shot,That threat is not going to give you an eternity to hit their pump house .
No fail pistol is a incredible amalgamation of understanding what it takes to destroy the small structures housed within the human body and while also understanding, the shot process shouldn’t be rushed but it better be done purposefully, efficiently, right now , when seconds can equate to the lost of life. No fail builds you , and it definitely will build me into a better more well rounded shooter and instructor, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for an amazing class . If you carry a gun for a living , or you carry a firearm for defense of love ones and yourself, take this class, I can’t recommend this class enough. You will be challenged, humbled and realize how much accountability means

Meet them where they are, and make them better !! Great session with a Mom and daughter pair that did incredible . Thanks for the trust and recommendation . It means more then you know

Good evening everyone, I have taken a step back from social media for a minute, trying hard to remember what’s important . Hunting has been something I have always loved and I was blessed enough to have a father that exposed me to the outdoors ,hunting and fishing at an early age. Every year, I see less and less youth involved in the outdoors/hunting. Hunting in Texas is not a cheap endeavor, and I know cost can be a prohibitive factor as well as general safe exposure to the outdoors, fi****ms and hunting. My goal is to try to help more youth get involved with hunting, Keepfiringllc for the second year will be sponsoring a youth pig hunt with for 2 first time hunters, 13-18 year olds . The hunt is all expenses covered to include:the hunt , fi****ms use, ammo , range fee , and field dressing processing of harvest.
This is open to any students in central texas, they must be first time hunters to qualify. I just need a typed/write 2 paragraphs on what do you think you would enjoy about hunting the most emailed to: [email protected] by October 10th.The hunt will be in Lometa,Tx and dates for range day and hunt and to be determined, tentatively late October early November .
Thank you for the incredible and continued support/donations from and new supporter of the annual hunt with a suppressor for the hunt . I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for your help, i couldn’t have made it happen without you. It is my hope that Keepfiringllc in some small part, can help usher in a pair of new hunters to help carry on this great tradition that teaches important life skills such as patience, conservation, respect for nature,fi****ms safety and ethical hunting practices. Im excited for this to be another incredible experience . Stay tuned for more information,Thank you for your time and all of your help

Our good Friend Amy's pepper spray class is so good we asked her to offer one at CSA. She packs a lot into a short class. Please consider it for you and/or your loved-ones. We can't stress the importance of carrying pepper spray as a de-escalation tool.

Instructor isn’t a title for clout , it’s an obligation, to constantly improve your curriculum, skillsets and perspective and information . There are people that like to wear a badge , or placard or polo that denotes them as a “fi****ms Instructor” . Levels to everything , some teach competitive shooting at the highest levels , some provide gateway/fi****ms intro instruction to large majority brand new fi****ms owners , this is the group I fit in, plus all the different levels and disciplines within that. Looking at my Texas License to carry course I teach , I try my hardest to expound on the basic course : I teach basic stop the bleed procedures, Texas penal code chapter 9,PC 30.06,30.07 , 46.03, , basic fi****ms safety,fi****ms application, some tactical anatomy for understanding anatomical relevance of the whys and how to stop a threat, cover and concealment as well as continuing education and training, dryfire and deescalation plus more . I could present the standard/cookie cutter approach/class to satisfy a state mandated time requirement, but as I definitely learned in military, I never teach to time, always to a solid standard. How fair is that to a student , who paid you,who found you ,trusts you , listens and learns from you, to give a poor effort ,that could very much save their lives or keep them out of jail or a coffin.
In my classes: I wont disrespect you,I will cultivate a comfortable, respectful and informative environment.
I won’t be doing the latest dance for my students, I won’t implore to my students that a 3400 hundred dollar firearm is what’s needed to defend themselves, I won’t be the most entertaining, I will make a point to present the best and most up to date and factual methods of defending yourself, most current laws and regulations and do everything in my power to allow you to be a safe responsible and fundamentally sound fi****ms owner. If entertainment is your bag, others provide more and I support you going elsewhere, you want to get better , let’s get to work, stay safe and keep firing.

If you have shot handguns and used the internet for any length of time, there has been a legitimate split in discussions and schools of thought from the competition side of shooting and the defensive side of shooting . I am far more defensive minded in how I shoot, how accurate I need to be or want to be, what I shoot and match philosophy, but I am always enticed by the allure of true performance shooting and burning it down with more comfort of the occasional Charlie or delta or in this case a couple of mikes. It’s important to keep things in perspective, USPSA is a very competitive game, high levels of LE and Mil get trained by high level competitive shooters because they are better at shooting a firearm for score and time, they are really efficient at that , you can’t deny it. Speed ,The last part is truly needed to be competitive but you can’t be haphazardly throwing rounds with reckless abandon in the real world. The human body doesn’t have Mike and Charlie zones, you can’t shoot someone a little bit. You need both speed and accuracy, some cases need more of one than the other , apply appropriately. I’m not looking to be a GM ,hell if I ever make B I’ll be ok but it’s not my sole goal, I love shooting and skill building with a built in excuse to shoot. I just want to be better with movement and shooting with speed and through transitions , and they absolutely both have their place with proper context. As says ,you need all the speed and all the accuracy. Speed gets you into the fight, accuracy ends it. Go be safe and have fun , KF

Better shooters make you better , It’s important to get around better shooters . That’s where improvement happens fastest . If you want to run fast , run with faster runners, you want to shoot fast, shoot with faster people, want to be stronger, lift with people who throw up bigger weight.
If you see what right looks like , you can tell wrong a long ways away. Small inefficiencies, a hitch in my draw, tentative cadence, a touch slow on draw and transition, looking at my run versus run looks like im shooting in quicksand and he is shooting in fast forward. The video is not speed up ,that’s his real speed. If you think you shoot well, shoot with a GM and it will give you real perspective on where your skill actually are, The class isn’t what makes you improve, it’s the work you put in after a class with new concepts that pays dividends.
Whats the better optic for your AR, LPVO or Red dot. In most cases the answer should be , that depends ? What is your minimum/maximum distance you will use your rifle , is it urban , suburban, rural . Will rifle serve double duty as a hd rifle and some hunting or intermediate distances shooting. Budget etc are questions that need to be addressed . In a world were we want to speak in absolutes far too often , mission /enduse usually dictates the gear necessary. Not everyone hunts with their AR , so where magnified optics rule for good reason , to consider a more universal concept is the home , our castle .
Most fi****ms users can identify with Home defense,Example , inside of 10 yards, long hallway or end of drive way . A video I did about 3-4 years ago is take 2 10.3 SBRs and do a simple failure drill/Mozambique and get times . I’m no speed demon but if I’m trying to get a baseline , I have to use three matrixes , speed ,distance and accuracy. 10 yards , accuracy requirement A zone for body, A zone /credit card head . I used two rifles one armed with a red dot and the other armed an LPVO . 3 runs a piece and the average for both , the results will surprise most . Some says without basis “the red dot is the fastest” but in my small evaluation, it didn’t prove to be exactly the case.
Pros for red dot:
Size/weight
Forgiving eye relief
Battery life
Pros for LPVO:
Variable power
Magnification helps see better ,further ,PID
Reticle can help in range estimate
Cons for red dot :
No magnification could hinder target identification
No ranging reticle ,so just holding over
Cons for LPVO:
Larger/heavier/less rail space
Cost
Need proper Eye relief for eye box to see the dot or reticle properly
If both have a daylight visible dot , it become really really close , I like a LPVO more in most cases because of shooting at further distances but you can push a red dot out to 300 even further if you know you holds
Host rifles Both 10.3 SBR’s

Don’t let your credentials write a check your skills can’t cash , stay present in the moment
Listen , I have made mistakes before with a firearm,I’m not above error and definitely not perfect. The rent is due daily regardless, you don’t get to take a day off from applying proper fi****ms safety rules, it’s not a circumstance based option, these are truly lifestyle rules . If you hold a job/position /title or credentials that would illiterate you have some level of fi****ms experience ie Special agent, officer, fi****ms instructor,Range officer etc. anything that would show you as a person to be expected to have fi****ms manipulation and application well at hand, don’t let this be you. A slow right is better than a fast wrong. Stay present when you are in possession of a firearm, you don’t have the luxury of shifting into park or letting your brain be on autopilot while you have a firearm in your hands . If that feels like an attack just know someone is always watching and you will be the example of what’s right or wrong with fi****ms manipulation and safety , don’t screw it up please. Fi****ms safety is everyone’s responsibility at all times .
