Thank You to everyone that came out to the Water Day event at the park. The kids had a blast. Thanks to the park for hosting event, Franklin Twp FD for coming out , you have a great group of volunteers and you always do a great job with the kids. Thank You to the Pike Co Shrine Club for letting us use their food trailer , it worked out perfectly. And Thank You to all the Friends group members that donate their time to make the park a better place. We have a great group of volunteers. See you next year at the Water Day event.

Tomorrow is the Water Day Event. From 1 to 4, The Friends Group will be selling Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, Frozen Otter Pops, Pop and Water and more. CASH ONLY. See You At Scioto Trail State Park

Scioto Trail Water Day on Saturday July 20th from 1 to 4. This event is open to the public. It will be on the south side of Caldwell Lake. Water Slide, Franklin Twp FD, Bubble machine and more!!!! This is a park event , the Friends of Scioto Trail will be selling food and refreshments. Some camp sites still available. See you at the park!!

What a very nice weekend at Scioto Trail State Park. Thank You to the Lore Family Reunion for their very generous donation to the group. Always nice to see everyone and a family that has came out to the park for their reunion for over 35 years. Would like to Thank the other family that had their reunion for their donation as well. Hope everyone enjoyed the breakfast on Friday. Next event is the Water Day Event on July 20th starting at 1pm

Thank you to everyone that came out to our Fishing Frenzy over the weekend. We had a good group of kids and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thank You to Midori Owens that hosted the event and to all the volunteers that helped her. Thank you to Margie Crouch who hosted the Bingo Saturday evening. We will continue with Bingo thru out the season , we will post when we are doing it. Thank you to Richard Owens of the Friends group, who is working to upgrade the sound system at the theater. Hopefully will be complete in a couple weeks or so. Next will be the Park event , Scioto Trail Water Day on July 20th, open to the public. See you at the park

Our Fishing Frenzy is this Saturday June 15th starting at 8am. The campground is about full but this event is open to the public. This weekend is free fishing weekend so you do not need a fishing license. We will have prizes for various categories of fish for kids. We are also serving breakfast on Saturday starting at 8am. See you at the park.

Friends of Scioto Trail are continuing half price memberships for the rest of the year. We have some active new members that joined this year and would like to have more. We have a great group of folks here. $10 for family $5 for individual

Another Great Memorial Day weekend at the park. The new GaGa ball pit was a busy place with fun had by kids of all ages. Our Saturday events went very well and look forward to our next event. Our Fishing Frenzy will be June 15th during Free Fishing Weekend. We will start at 8am and we will be serving breakfast. Look for a schedule to be posted in the coming days. Thank You to all the volunteers that helped out this weekend, we couldn't have done it without you. See you soon.

Another great addition to the campground , Ga Ga Ball Pit. The Friends group purchased the material and Thank You to the Maint Guys for putting it together. Thank You to Klinkers lumber for supporting the project.

Next up Memorial Day Weekend. This will be a busy weekend, we will serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning, Chinese Auction, Adult Bingo and serving food in the afternoon on Saturday. This is open to the public. Come out and enjoy the weekend and lets not forget what Memorial Day is all about, remembering our heroes and loved ones. See you at the park.

Thank You to everyone that helped plant flowers and donated flowers today at the park, they look GREAT. Huge Thank You to Sean and Corina Walters for donating the hot water heater, sink and faucet for the park. Scioto Trail has the best campers bar none. The passion you have for the park speaks volumes. Would also like to Thank Ortman Family Greenhouses. See you next weekend.

A Chinese /Silent auction is being held Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and is being held at Scioto Trail State Park on behalf of the Friends of Scioto Trail State Park to assist with programs and improvements at the park
One special item is the hand crafted bird house built by Harley Warrick himself

Harley Warrick was the authorized Mail Pouch barn painter commissioned by Mail Pouch To***co Co. for 55 years
He painted Mail Pouch barn advertisements across 13 states and he appeared on Good Morning America and On The Road
When he retired he made and sold Mail Pouch barn bird boxes and mailboxes from his home in Belmont, Ohio
That is where this birdhouse was purchased

We will be having a Friends group meeting Sunday April 21st at 1pm under the canopy beside the camp store. Anyone interested in becoming a member please consider attending the meeting. Dues are $10 for Family and $5 for individuals. This promo is running until June 1st. We will be discussing the upcoming season and fundraising ideas. See you at the park

Today we remember the life and service of Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore, whose end of watch was February 23, 2021. 💔 Officer Lagore suffered a medical emergency while responding to a call at Rocky Fork State Park. He is remembered as a dedicated officer, well-respected for his expertise in training and working with K9s.❤️ 🐾

We are running a Membership Drive to get more members to help with the events , projects and improvements at the park. You will also be a voting member to determine the direction of the group. Another Scioto Trail Halloween and Season is in the books. Huge thank you to Tracy Lyon for chairing the event this year and for all the volunteers that helped out for event and all season long. I also want to thank all the Scioto Trail campers. You truly are the best campers. We are planning for a great season in 2024.
