Hello, I'm Steve Frost BA (Hons) and I am a freelance editor based in Coventry UK, willing and able to work either online with Word documents (using Track Changes) PDF's, and/or offline on hard-copy. Author's, especially new ones, often say 'Oh, but I cannot possibly afford to pay for an editor.' Well, yes you can. There are two main reasons for this:
A) I am relatively new to editing. However,
I am building my experience and reputation on a daily basis. Therefore, I am able to negotiate much lower payment rates than my more experienced colleagues (without compromising on quality of course.) B) If you are a new author, I look on being able to work with you as an investment in both my future as an editor and yours as an up and coming author. If you are happy with what I do to your literary baby, you are likely to re-engage me for future work. I will retain your individual writing and narrative style and inthe case of a work of fiction, retain and enhance both the natural speaking style and voice of each individual character. Whilst also retaining each individual characters unique characteristics and personality. I also fully appreciate the necessity for intelligent and judicious compromise when business, or publishing and budgetary deadlines loom.
