UofL and Al Alamein International University, New Alamein, Matrouh, Egypt have established an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree programs in Bioengineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Students in the 2+2 program will take 50% of the classes at each institution to enhance academic and cultural exchange in teaching, research, and other activities. https://engineering.louisville.edu/2plus2_mou-aiu/

Congratulations to JB Speed School of Engineering student Kathryn “Ryn” Kalbfleisch, one of 10 engineering college students nationwide chosen as the 2020 New Face of Civil Engineering by the American Society of Civil Engineers-ASCE.
New Faces of Civil Engineering highlights up-and-coming civil engineering leaders and celebrates their academic achievements and commitment to serving others. Ryn is a student leader whose focus is on equal and fair opportunity for all gender identities, races, sexual orientations, national origins and religions.

River City Rocketry team competed in the 2019 Spaceport America Cup June 18 - 22 in Las Cruces, NM. The team earned two awards: first place in the SDL Payload Challenge and the James Barrowman Award for Flight Dynamics.

Speed School Alumni Council is hosting the 7th Annual Speed School Golf Fore STEM Outreach at UofL Golf Club on Monday May 20, 2019. We had a great turnout for both golfers and sponsors. Special thanks to staff from Louisville Alumni and JB Speed School of Engineering for their collaboration and day of event support. Most importantly, we want to thank all the Speed School Alumni and friends for making this event an annual success!
