Gorgeous and handmade functional textile art products made from woven wraps and luxury fabrics.
A small family farm and sewing studio located in beautiful Athens Tennessee. Here, via sustainable and ecologically responsible farming, we raise fresh fruit and vegetables, bees and honey, chickens, ducks, and eggs, and angora goats and shetland sheep. In my sewing studio I showcase and offer to my clients one of a kind, beautiful, handmade textile accessories.

I will also setup a honey stand at the bottom of the drive from 9am-12pm July 4th, 5th, and 6th. So you can come by and taste test honey until you find your perfect palate pleaser.
But… that is my spinning spot… and it is … and I have computer work I’m trying to avoid…
Honey info! It was an EPIC June harvesting and bottling honey, but I’m finally all done and ready to rock and roll.
I’ll also post here when honey is live on the website tomorrow. :)
Today Artie, Arthur, Clover, Trout, Fig, Guinevere, Morgan, Stick, Maple, Scully, Marilla, Dion and I put up a new hay shelter for the flerd.
The hope is to cut down on hay waste (and cleanup) and food-based disagreements in the sleeping barn. We’ll see how well that works out. 🫣😂
One of my love languages is miniature heavy equipment.
Using these things is basically a Zelda puzzle dungeon irl, controls and everything. Which means I’ve been training for this for pretty much my entire life.
Tonight and tomorrow are barn clean out days. Woot woot!
Earlier this spring, on a whim, I tossed last year’s rejected comb frames on two hives while adding supers. I always label which boxes have comb frames so I can check them regularly and make sure not to spin them. But lacking tape and a marker that day, I told myself, ‘I’ll come back tonight when the girls are all asleep and label those boxes.
I forgot. And then I forgot which hives had comb frames. And then I entirely forgot that I’d put comb frames out.
And then I was sitting at dinner with some beekeeper friends last week, and I remembered!
Well, I remembered that there were comb frames somewhere in some of our hives.
So harvest has been a little bit of an Easter egg hunt this year. Thus far we found drawn and capped comb frames in both Queen Iris and Queen Joni’s hives! Woot woot!
Just a smidge over an hour until I go live with our geekery collection. It’s gonna be so Shiny. ;)
Today I decided that what every girl needs is some friends who will say, ‘sorry the hormones didn’t work out. How about we come over and help you clean up your barn?’
They were right! My mood hasn’t been this optimistic and positive in months! Just look! Look at my beautiful tool wall!
I have the best friends, especially since they knew the key to farmer mental health is a tidy barn AND they made it happen. 😂😂😂
Proof of life! I’m getting better! Thank you all for your well wishes, and I’m so sorry I couldn’t do my show on Sunday. I’ve been wanting to shed a few pounds, but not that way. 🤢
AND let’s go ahead do our Geekery sale. How about Wednesday at 9pm EST for comment to purchase and then an album sale in WAFA after that?
Thanks again for all the well wishes. I really appreciate your kindness.
Today’s live sale is postponed!!!
I took a new anxiety med this morning, and my tummy is saying, ‘no thank you’ to both the med and everything I’ve eaten in the last month. 🤢
Boxing up my Whovian bits and on to The Verse! 🫣😱🥳
Just keep sewing, sewing. Just keep sewing…
🫣😬😳🤪
For all the farmers who are working hay these days, it helps if you do yoga the next day.
364 square bales in one evening… I might be recovered in time to do some shopping this weekend… 🫣😬
Previous post was deleted due to b*t and sc*m issues. I’m so sorry about that. I started to reply to comments and that triggered a wave of those nasty gremlins.
BUT I did still manage to draw Jenny Lo Knits!
AND screen cap all your comments because I’m going to spend my down time today looking up all the new recommendations. ;)
What is this! A new collection drop AND a 15% off sale! It must be Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day ladies and gentlefolks. For the website shoppers, I have a whole new collection of repurposed vintage quilt bags and accessories. Each item is lovingly made from a vintage handmade quilt that was too worn and loved to continue its life as a quilt. By repurposing it into a new functional textile art accessory, I hope to keep the beauty of this heirloom in our world a bit longer.
PLUS- everything on the website is 15% off right now and through Friday. Please treat yourself, your mom, or your favorite mom shaped human.
Shearing morning!
And for the Betty the Spite Sheep fans, our big girl’s transformation series!
Hey y’all. I have a friend who needs to give up the farming dream for medical reasons.
She has some of the loveliest fleeced Shetland sheep I’ve ever seen and a several fabulous pet nigoras. She would really like to make sure they go to a good safe fiber home.
I know I’ve spoken with folks all over who were interested in fiber animals. Is anyone close-ish to East TN in the market for some fiber pets?
Save the date! Sunday May 26 we go back to our roots.
An event just for Sassenachs, Whovians, Hyrulians, Ghiblers, and Browncoats.
Holy crap that is a lot. I need to get sewing…
Today’s spinning fun while I’m at Birchwood Fiber Festival (B.F.F ). I snagged the lovely plum rolags from AB Farm and Gardens and the ultra lush blue/yellow/pink ones from Wild Hare Fiber Studio.
And then, since I recognized it was a slightly risky color combo, I decided to lean into the weird and have some fun.
Each of the rolags are now divided up into small sections, and I’m alternating them on the same bobbin. I’m going to make to bobbins and ply and then… 😳🫣
What could possibly go wrong? 😆
The website is open! Thank you all for your patience while I updated inventory and some settings and tech gremlin stuff after a busy spring festival season.
Both Rustic Roots and The Mountains are Calling have new products and TMAC will have even more after next week's show Birchwood Fiber Festival (B.F.F ).
Happy shopping! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Xoxoxoxo
Hey loves. I’ve had the honor of having my own Wool and Fiber Arts Padawan this month, Aoire Maith Fibre Studios. It has been so much fun working with Case and showing her the ropes.
Her live WAFA sale is tonight at 6:30 est. If you have some time to join me and improve her algorithms and (even better) her sales, I’d be so appreciative. She’s a lovely person with REALLY lovely batts, locks, and even some peg looms.

Farms and seasons wait for no man.
So many projects so little time before the hot weather sets in.
But I am VERY thankful for a wonderful GSMFF this weekend. Combining the amazing support of clients new and familiar with the discount racks at Lowe’s, means that we have a freshly secured Fowlcatraz with better landscaping and space than pretty much anywhere else on the farm.
Seriously- we’re a couple bistro tables and some string lights away from a party destination! 🫣😂
The Assistant Director Batt Maker went with me to the today. Unfortunately 7am muster came just a bit too early for a little guy who was up giggling with his siblings until 1:30am. In the grand tradition of menfolk everywhere, he took a few moments to, ‘just rest his eyes.’
Tomorrow I’ll be back at the gorgeous with Wing Mom from 10-4. Swing by, snag a bag, scoop up a batt, and maybe even get there in time to get one of our Farm Favorites spinners sampler boxes.
S/M/L project bags with and w/o embroidery.
For the Plenty o’ Pockets fans. ;)
