My Dear Friends,

In order to deal with the major medical costs accrued during my three-year battle with cancer (which has proved successful so far as the cancer is now in remission) I have decided to part with my collection of manuscripts of my compositions and my collection of rare scores and autographs ranging from the Renaissance to the present day I have collected over the past fifty years.

These include full original manuscripts of several of my works written in my hand (including motets, anthems, a Neruda setting and songs), numerous items connected to my catalogue of compositions (including sketches from the Lux Aeterna, Les Chansons des Roses, Madrigali, and Mid-Winter Songs), plus rare scores and autographs relating to major composers from Thomas Morley, Henry Purcell and Mozart to Brahms, Mendelssohn and Verdi to Stravinsky, Ives and Britten.

These precious scores have been a joy to collect over the decades and now they can go directly to your personal library from mine!

I have entrusted this collection of over seventy items to the distinguished music antiquarium firm, Lubrano Music in New York. John and Jude Lubrano will be happy to assist you in acquiring these items.

Op zondag 19 maart a.s zijn sopraan Debby de Lima en organist Frank Resseler onze musici. Op het programma werken van Dietrich Buxtehude, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Jean Langlais en de Nederlandse componisten Eric Koevoets en Jan. J. van den Berg. Het concert begint om 15.00 uur.

De concertgevers willen hun publiek een gevarieerde programma bieden met muziek uit diverse landen en eeuwen, waarbij het orgel in veel facetten te horen zal zijn.
Frank Resseler zal niet alleen Debby de Lima aan het orgel begeleiden, maar ook soleren op het monumentale instrument van de kerk. Hij is organist van het Kerkelijk Centrum de Regenboog te Leiden, penningmeester van Stichting Cathedral Organ Leiden en vaste begeleider van vocaal ensemble Musica da Lima.
Debby de Lima is zangeres en speelt ook piano, harp en gamelan. Zij is vaste sopraan bij een van de koren van de Sint-Nicolaas in Amsterdam en oprichter en artistiek leider van Musica da Lima.

De toegang tot het concert is vrij, maar uw gift bij de uitgang ter dekking van de kosten is zeer welkom.
