COVID-19 Testing for Group 2 students begins on Sunday. If you have not yet, please register at www.fairmontstate.edu/test. As a reminder, please bring a completed Intake Testing Form with you, it can be found at www.fairmontstate.edu/testingform.

Tests will be administered via a drive-thru process. While we highly recommend being tested in a vehicle for the safety of everyone involved, we understand there might be some instances where this is not possible. Walk-up testing will be available for students needing this accommodation.

Fairmont State University and partner Mon Health System, Inc., have been selected as one of only four recipients nationwide of the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention Simulation Education Training Program (NEPQR-SET) through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the 2020 grant funding cycle. The award was announced by U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

The School of Nursing will use the $499,975 grant to establish Fairmont State’s Transforming Rural Americans’ Healthcare Access Utilizing Simulated Telehealth Education to Improve Healthcare Delivery Outcomes (TRUSTED) Program.

Fairmont State University is modifying the academic calendar for the 2020-2021 Academic Year to help us anticipate possible complications (or resurgence of) with COVID-19. The University is trying to anticipate the possible spikes in cases in the fall as the CDC has projected. To help the campus stay safe and healthy we have modified our traditional calendar so that we can come back face-to-face for our Fall and Spring semesters.
