Implementation and Project components:
The project will place a nurse in every school, a mini pharmacy with essential medicines, a doctor who will carry out a health check at the beginning and the end of the year, and available for the supported preventive and support in case of hospitalization, cost of laboratory tests, a psychologist for psychological counseling, vocational guidance. Health education sessions for students, parents and teachers each quarter by class health committees, awareness in the immediate vicinity of schools, monitoring water and waste management in schools etc.
Background and Rationale:
The health of children in school is a factor that must be closely monitored. A sick child is physically or psychologically uncertain human and social investment. While at the school level, a needs analysis has proven that it happens every day that children have health problems at the same school. lack of means, qualified personnel in the field, nothing is done to help these children while family problems, domestic violence, child abuse, socio-economic difficulties are factors existing risk every day of children to expose their psychological disorders beside congenital problems and childhood diseases, diagnosed early, would not have done irreparable harm on learning, academic success and the future of these children.
