Photographer, cinematographer, graphic artist, sound engineer and disc jockey are a just few of the titles I have held spanning a 30 plus year career in visual and performance arts. This journey has taken me across America and beyond our borders, affording me the privilege and benefit of working with many talented artists, technicians and craftspeople, at every type of venue that life can provide.

It may be on a bright beach, sporting arena or in a mood-lit ballroom; my experience and professional tools allow me to quickly generate and capture the most impact possible in any setting. When creating a headshot or environmental portrait for corporate use, Shannon Lifestyle Photography’s light footprint allows the use of the setting of your choice that will best present your personal brand. When crafting a family, couples or children’s portrait, a familiar environment or beloved location is a strong tool for creating a timeless image. I travel to your favorite places where my easy going, people (and kid!) friendly personality quickly creates a comfortable environment where it is easy (and fun!) to just be ourselves. Creating perfect light on location: Appealing images always start with beautiful light. Unfortunately, Mother Nature does not always provide flattering light on your schedule and indoor environments often lack pleasing, directional light, or enough light. Shannon Lifestyle Photography is passionate about the quality of light in your photos and brings a full mobile studio to every session, event and location. Whether accenting available light, or painting a whole scene, I carry a multitude of highly-mobile flash units and lighting modifiers to provide fast and dynamic lighting for every situation. All self-powered and radio triggered, these untethered tools allow me to quickly place controlled light when and where it is needed. Day or night, inside or out, all of my work utilizes some form of flash magic to paint my clients in the most flattering light. Event Shooting Style: My people friendly, photojournalistic shooting style is a form of magic in itself. Whether documenting a wedding, group, corporate or family event, I quickly blend into the environment. With a pleasant tenaciousness and professional calmness, family and guests quickly acclimatize to my presence, allowing natural moments to remain natural. An often heard and favorite compliment my clients pass on when reviewing their photos goes something like this: “You seemed to be everywhere at once but never in the way, after a while we had forgotten you were there, but look at all these photos – you were everywhere at once!”

After 3 years of not hanging out on Facebook, it turns out Christmas and the New Year is a perfect time to pop up here and make this page active – not only for a timely Merry Christmas Wish to all and New Year Cheer, but also to get some fresh photos online due to a chronic, tragic Bluehost/SiteLock FAIL (don’t get me started!) . . . so as there is still a good chance my website is yet again stuck on the homepage I’ll be popping up some of my favorite shots here to spread some smiles. Life hasn’t been all Weddings, Quinceañeras and Real Estate Photography, I also had time to do some water ballistic testing this year with my assistant Henry, that’s Henry with the goggles. Braving the for a family photo session this week, it's what we do - was the cold a hindrance(?) . . not at all, I had so much fun and laughter with the Costas that I didn't feel the dip to the mid 70s ;)
Still plenty of time to book a Family Holiday Session before we put on the Christmas pounds and the snow starts flying folks, we could shoot over the river, or through the woods, maybe Grandmother has a beach house, . . 🤣

Although I love the unique challenges of shooting architecture day in and day out - It's always wonderful to spend a day with my first love (hunting & shooting humans ;) ) . . and it's even better when true love, life-long friendships and joyful families are joined in celebration. As a 20 year veteran of Wedding World, I've experienced every culture that can be found in the USA and Canada and in my opinion; If you enjoy tradition, down home food, pageantry, color, excitement, dust under yer' boots, dynamic show-band music and dancing like there is no tomorrow, . . then you need to get invited to a traditional Mexican Wedding (seriously!)
