A festive drawing for fun.
Just something I made while I was drinking coffee and thinking about cookies 😁
Thursday's at the is clothed live model drawing, that artists can take advantage of to practice.
They start at 6:30pm and run until 9pm
All you need is supplies and entry fee.
To change things up I like asking the model for suggestions on what to draw them as, todays model Ashley wanted to be a badger, do you think I succeeded?🤔
The Thursday model asked to be a giraffe 🦒 so I had fun learning how to do that on the fly .
Let me know what you think of these sketches, or if you have suggestions for what I should turn the model into for the next session.
So I finished a creepy creature design, based on a Zelda skulltula I made in 2014. It was fun learning to make some gore elements, and improve on my spider drawing skills.
Let me know what you guys think, I love feedback.
Here is last week's Thursday sketches of our model Al. He wanted to be a lion for the fun drawings of the day, and it was a fun challenge for the 5min sketches.
If you're an artist in the Fraser valley, come to the Chilliwack cultural centre on Wednesday for 18+ n**e or Thursdays for a clothed model drawing session for self practice. Bring your own art supplies.
Here are some of the long poses from our sessions at Chilliwack cultural centers live model drawing. These didn't fit with other groups of drawing so I put them together.
Thursday sessions at the cultural center was so much fun with Al as our model. I really wanted to make characters today so we did a bunch of 5min and 10min poses that really let the creativity manifest. Tell me what you think of them.
Practicing some faces before the live model drawing session yesterday. I will be trying to fill my sketchbook up with practice so if you have a request, @ me in a picture 😉 and don't be afraid to give me a challenge as well.
Yesterday's live model was Brenda, and I drew her in both colour and pencils. I got my act together and edited the results today so that's why you all get to see them in such a timely manner 😜
If you're interested in practicing from a live model, from 6:30pm - 9pm is a clothed session in the . Come drop in, all you need to bring is your art supplies and entrance fee.
Thursdays live model session was filled with short poses that let me do a lot of fun characters made from our model .
Let me know what you think of them.
I had so much fun drawing our Thursday model as many different characters. These laying poses I drew her as a dragon, and a normal sketch.
The dragon came out fantastic for a 15 minute drawing, and I honestly don't know how I got it done 😺
I'll post the other fun drawings soon.
Ok these are a bit more unique drawings where I tried to make our model into an animal of her choice. Normally I just stick to the face but for these I wanted to make her more of a character while keeping the pose. Idk tell me if I succeeded.
I forgot to write the times but I think it was like 20 minutes for each. The first one she chose a silver fox and an aardvark for the second.
Here is most of the Thursday session drawings from the session hosted at the . was the model and she brought some fun roller skates to sketch.
So I had some fun with live model drawing and turned our model into Sailor Moon for a 20min sketch. I don't think it came out too bad.
Live model drawing is going twice a week at the , so artists feel free to drop in for practice for 18+ n**e Wednesdays or clothed model Thursdays at 6:30pm.
These drawings are of our models and Brenda for a couple of our October sessions.

Haven't uploaded in a while, so here are some older live model sketches of Vanessa as a bunny. I remember that the sleeping pose was especially hard to figure out how to draw the ears.
I posted on Instagram about our summer Sessions at the Chilliwack Cultural Center, and as I was recently brought back here for something, the thought to actually get some use out of my poorly neglected page hit me.
If you are interested in learning more about the sessions Please contact thru www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca
The sessions are timed poses ranging from 30 seconds to 15-30 minutes, un structured for you to self study whatever medium you bring along.
I personally use pencil and paper but also sometimes bring out watercolour for some longer poses.

Last week I started painting for our long pose at the live model drawing session, and I finished it later at home. Definitely an improvement on my old paintings but I still have a long way to go with building my colour skills.

Some face sketches of Dale, one of the models for the Wednesday sessions at the Cultural Centre. most of these are 5-10min but the coloured one was just a bit of fun shading practice that took a little longer.
