Join us in congratulating our new leader Erin O'Toole!
We are hoping everyone stays safe during this scary time.
To our MacEwan students: we understand how difficult it is to navigate school, home life and the economic realities of the Covid pandemic. From all of us at MUCC, we wish to open our message box to anyone needing academic assistance such as tutoring, moral support, or guidance. Just send a message and an executive on the team will do their best to help.
Social distancing during this time is important - so please do your best to stay home.

Today, my colleague, Michelle Rempel, asked the Prime Minister about SNC-Lavalin hiring prostitutes for Gaddafi's son. His response "This government will stand for Canadian jobs". How can anyone justify this?

The Legislative Assembly today recognized the public service of the Honourable Jim Prentice, PC, QC. The event was hosted by Hon. Robert E. Wanner, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and included the unveiling of the official portrait in honour of Mr. Prentice’s service.
“The late Jim Prentice embodied the ideals of public service,” said the Speaker Wanner. “He was a man of integrity guided by a good balance of passion and pragmatism. Today we recognize him as a selfless leader who worked tirelessly to make life better for the people of Alberta.”
The portrait of Mr. Prentice was painted by artist David Goatley and will be placed among the permanent collection displayed on the third floor of the Legislature Building.
Did you know? United Conservative Party Caucus Jason Nixon’s father founded the The Mustard Seed.
That's me in the red jacket. I believe it was 35 years ago to the day that my dad, Pat Nixon, started the Mustard Seed. It started out in an old home downtown with 12 volunteers providing emergency food and shelter to 50 people per day, and then grew under his leadership to offer emergency care, training, job search services, and transitional and affordable housing through a collection of facilities. The organization now provides an expansive range of programs and services in multiple locations throughout Alberta and B.C.
My Dad is someone who never gives up on people and continues to build an amazing legacy. He currently directs the Oxford House Foundation, which is providing people in recovery from addictions a supportive program and safe home to achieve a productive, rewarding, clean and sober life. I am so proud to be his son and can only hope to accomplish half the amount of good he’s done.

On Raoul Wallenberg Day, we honour one of humanity's great heroes from one of the darkest periods of human history.
Wallenberg courageously saved thousands of Hungarian Jews from death, at tremendous personal risk.
An extremely worthy recipient of Canada's first honorary citizenship.
Another great candidate!
