Due to extreme fire danger, starting Thu campfires are temporarily banned in all state parks & state-managed forests EAST of Interstate 5.
This includes designated fire rings and pits in campgrounds.

Beginning today, (Friday 6/25) at 7 am there is a burn ban in affect for Marion and Linn Counties. All agricultural and backyard burning is PROHIBITED. Small outdoor recreation/warming fires and BBQ’s are still allowed at this time. (Full Details Below)
Marion County Fire District Burn Ban
· Marion County Fire Agencies Enact High-Fire Danger Burn Ban
o Beginning Friday, June 25th, 2021 at 7:00 am, all fire agencies within Marion County will enact a High-Fire Danger Burn Ban, based on a recommendation by the Marion County Fire Defense Board.
· The burn ban prohibits all the following:
o Backyard or open burning (branches, yard debris, etc.).
o Agricultural burning (agricultural wastes, crops, field burning, etc.).
o Any other land clearing, slash, stump, waste, debris or controlled burning.
· The burn ban does not prohibit:
o Small outdoor cooking, warming or recreational fires. These include portable or permanent fire pits, fire tables, and campfires, with a maximum fuel area of three feet in diameter and two feet in height in a safe location away from combustibles or vegetation and are fully extinguished after use.
o Barbeque grills, smokers and similar cooking appliances with clean, dry firewood, briquettes, wood chips, pellets, propane, natural gas, or similar fuels.
· There may be more restrictive fire safety rules on and within a 1/8 mile of Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF)-protected land, which exists throughout much of rural Marion County. ODF restrictions may include prohibitions on campfires, smoking, target shooting, powered equipment, motorized vehicles, and other public/private landowner and industrial fire restrictions. · Fire chiefs in Marion County encourage the public to use extreme caution with activities that could start a fire. It is everyone’s responsibility to prevent and be prepared for wildfires.

Please use extreme caution while recreating in streams, rivers, and lakes. Hot weather will bring many people to waterways. Remember to wear life vests!
Be prepared in the event of a power outage. With extreme temperatures brings max air conditioning and HVAC usage which puts a major strain on power grids. Please visit your power company’s website for outage information. DO NOT CALL 911 to report outages unless there is a life or death emergency situation
Stay hydrated and make sure animals are out of the heat and given plenty of water as well!

Things are looking up for a partial opening memorial weekend!! Our docks are floating and in place! We are going to allow moorage to come in Friday May 28th!!
💥HOWEVER 💥- Not all amenities will be up and running. So make sure your boat is full of gas, water and whatever else it may need. Please make sure moorage is paid and contracts are completed upon arrival.
As for rentals, we are still taking reservations for June, July and the first part of August but the exact date for rentals to start is still to be determined.

Hello folks, this is to let you know that Kane’s Marina will not be able to accept boats on May 1st due to more needed repair on the docks, log boom and low water.
