How do you mentally "clock out?"

I don't know about you, but I have a bad habit of going and going and forgetting to stop. I've slowly been getting better but I definitely have a long way to go.

To take a breather or disconnect from the day, here are a few things I do to mentally "clock out"...

💎 Take a break during the workday

💎 Yoga (something new I'm trying but so far, it's I love it)

💎 Logout and stay logged out at the end of the day (that time sometimes depends on what I have going on but I try to keep it consistent)

Remember, it is important to avoid burnout, and one of the best ways to do this is to set aside regular time to “log off” and do the activities that make you feel happy and relaxed.

I know, I hear it all the time. "You have to shut down." And listen, I do but just in case something comes up, I want to be prepared. One of my goals for next year is to work on disconnecting a little bit more. It will help me be more present for my clients too!

You are NOT alone.

📝The next time someone tells you this, be prepared with your response.

You can ask them:
"How much time/money/stress will you save if I can help you with your pain points?"
"If money or budget was no object, would our product/service be a problem solver?

When we have conversations with our potential clients and cost is an issue, we recognize that sometimes people don't understand the value of PR so it's our job to tell them. Or they've had bad experiences previously and it's our job to be understanding.

You should also remember that maybe, just maybe, the reason why they think your product or service is too expensive is because... they aren't your target audience.

Bottom line: Never 🙅🏾‍♀️allow anyone to make you or your products or services feel inferior.

Most people are busy preparing for the holidays right now. It's us, we're most people!

🤩 The holiday seasons are finally upon us. And while that means planning and prepping for holiday festivities we're still working on client projects and preparing for the new year over here too. We've been hard at work planning for our 2022 PR and influencer campaigns because the year isn't over until the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2022.

So yes, while I'll probably also be making a PR list and checking it twice, I have to make sure I also plan to enjoy the holiday season, decorating, Christmas shopping, and of course watching ALL the Christmas movies I can handle.

Starting my own PR agency has been a game-changer for my life! I LOVE what I do and my ahmazing clients too!

But let's not get it confused, there are so many things I wish I knew earlier on my entrepreneur journey or that I had done earlier:

ASK FOR HELP!
I used to be afraid to ask but not anymore. It’s a key to success.
Hire that team, get that assistant, find a social media manager, meet with that publicist, whatever it takes to help you help your business and your clients too!

FAILURE MAY NOT BE AN OPTION, BUT IT CAN HAPPEN AND IT'S OK!
The goal is to learn from it and move forward.

TEAM NO SLEEP DOESN’T NEED ANY NEW MEMBERS!
I used to think I shouldn’t be sleeping or resting because I had a business to run and so much responsibility. I realized it wasn’t helping my business but hurting me. So now I take time off to reset and recalibrate. No longer a member of team no sleep!

The end of the year is approaching so fast (it's literally in like 20 minutes!) so it's a great time to start thinking about the goals we've achieved this year, the ones we still have yet to meet, and our new goals for 2022.

For us, our goals for 2022 are:
💜Hiring a larger team (more support so we can support you even more!)
💜Launching our new membership club (we're soooo excited!)
💜Adding a few new services (just wait til you hear about them!)

Don’t wait for someone else to give you a chance. Make things happen for you. And don’t be afraid to step into a lane unknown to others around you. Leave fear behind you and step into your zone!

Make your days a little bit easier. You can do more simply by planning ahead. Social media is our friend in business and we need to take advantage of it but we have to be strategic.

This means that you need to focus on planning and creating ahead of time so you don't miss your posting times or important dates.

Here are some tips to help you plan ahead:

✔️Focus on creating bulk content (also known as batch content) on one or two days so you can plan for a month or longer.
✔️Preschedule content using a scheduling tool based on the best time(s) for your audience's engagement. We love Hootsuite around here!
✔️Schedule uninterrupted time to engage with your audience as well as engage with other social media pages.
