Dr Jan Kornilow gave a talk today about his work in wound care. "Bacteria & Wounds: Cooties in Your Ouchies." Riveting lecture! For exuding wisdom, he was bestowed with an honorary membership to BSUASM and given the most recent edition of Fine Focus! Thank you, Dr Kornilow, your enthusiasm is infectious!
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year, BSUASM members! As many of you know, we completed an environmental-health swab contest at our first meeting. We have posted pictures of plates and we want to know which ones y'all like the best! Please like the photos, and the owners of the two plates with the most likes will win a plush microbe at the next meeting!
Next week will also entail some fun with plating, as we will be having fun with agar art! We'd love to see you there on Thursday, September 14th at 7pm in CL 126! 🤗
Congratulations to Dr. McDowell for winning the 3rd annual Pie-A-Professor fundraiser! Thank you everyone who participated by running in the race and/or donating to the cause! Together we have raised $330 dollars for Doctors Without Borders!! More pictures and video of the pies to come in the near future!
