With the support of Red Ecolsierra technicians, producer José Octavio Puente is carrying out maintenance on the apiary (feeding the bees, cleaning the area, adjusting the hives, etc.). Thanks to his dedication and the reforestation activities with RioSierra, the first harvest from these hives is expected to begin in November.

Nous avons d'excellentes nouvelles de la part de notre équipe des Solutions Basées sur la Nature. Le projet Carbone dans les Forêts de Saveur et d'Arome (C-BOSAR) a été validé et enregistré avec succès sous la norme Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) ! Ce projet, débuté en 2021, fait partie du projet d'investissement RioSierra financé par URAPI et opéré par Ecotierra, et conduit le changement vers des systèmes agroforestiers plus durables pour le café, le cacao et le miel.

C-BOSAR est un projet unique en son genre dans la région, et cette approbation le confirme comme une initiative vraiment innovante et de haute qualité, capable de fournir un impact réel pour le développement communautaire et de contribuer directement au renforcement des chaînes de valeur locales.

Nous parlons de résultats qui bénéficieront à plus de 2 000 producteurs et à leurs familles, avec pour objectif plus de 3 000 hectares de nouveaux systèmes agroforestiers. Ce projet devrait éliminer plus de 570 000 tonnes de CO2e sur une période de 30 ans.

Ce n'est que le début d'une histoire pleine d'opportunités et de transformation. C-BOSAR ouvre la voie vers un avenir plus vert, plus prospère et plus durable pour tous.

We are thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming Specialty Coffee Association Expo in Chicago from the 12th to the 14th of next week. Our booth, numbered 506, is conveniently located close to the main entrance. We extend a warm invitation to everyone to visit us and meet the founders of Urapi and ECOTIERRA.

The RioSierra nursery, situated in the municipality of Aracataca (Magdalena), is making strides in cultivating tree seedlings to support the establishment of new agroforestry areas for coffee, cocoa, and honey. These areas are set to be planted during the upcoming rainy season, expected between May and June, as part of the Bosques de Sabor y Aroma initiative.

We are proud to announce a significant development in our commitment to transparency and traceability. RioSierra, our project nestled in the beautiful buffer zone of Colombia's Sierra Nevada National Park, is embarking on a new venture - becoming an exporter of green coffee.
