These fall Armyworm caterpillars vary in color but can be IDed by a white Y shape mark behind their head.

They likely blew in to Ohio from the South a few weeks back during storms, they can travel over 500+ miles in 24 hours and can use jetstreams to go far 🌬

Adults lay eggs on flat leaves/flowers that overhang turf, even on fence/lamp posts. 👀 look for white fuzzy masses, or little strips of eggs on grass blades

Cannibals 😯 they will feed until there is no food left or their development is complete, whichever comes 1st. If the plant food is exhausted, they become meat-eaters (big caterpillars eating smaller to complete their development)

Crew Member (Lawn Maintenance)

Safely and efficiently provide lawn maintenance service on assigned properties. Services include mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, bed maintenance, spring and fall clean up.

**Responsibilities**
Work to assure quality and timely completion of assigned route.

Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.

Be sensitive and respectful of Company equipment and customer’s property at all times.

Identify problems at the work site and follow through appropriately.

Perform tasks within the allotted budgeted hours.

Arrive at designated facility/property on time ready to perform duties.

Follow proper Company policies and procedures at all times.

Display honesty and respect when working with coworkers, contractors, customers, and other Company employees.

Wear proper uniforms and dress appropriately for conditions.
Wear proper PPE while operating equipment.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Previous experience operating commerical grade mowers - ride on, zero turn etc. As well as trimmers, blowers and other landscaping related tools and equipment.

Experience operating Bobcat or other heavy machinery is a plus.

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Must have endurance necessary to perform duties for long periods of time in outdoor elements.

Must be willing and able to work long hours and overtime including holidays, weekends, etc.

Must be willing and able to work with pesticide, herbicides, and fertilizers.

**Job Specifications**

Typical Hours: Full Time

Pay Type: Hourly

Compensation: Based On Experience ($13-16 per hour for new hires)

*Winter seasonal positions available as well.

Veteran owned and operated - we do year round property maintenance and landscaping for customers in West Chester, Mason, Liberty Township, Tri-County and surrounding.

We are adding Landscaping Crew Members to our team this season.

Qualifications:
• Valid drivers license ideal but not required - must have reliable transportation to West Chester
• Previous experience in a landscaping job preferred
• Prior military / veteran status encouraged

Preferred Experience:
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to drive and back up trailer
• Experience using Bobcat to load mulch, rock etc.
• Spanish language skills/bilingual Spanish nice to have

Job Duties:
• Operate string trimmers, blowers and edgers; may operate tractor, skid loader, or other lawn care or landscaping equipment if needed
• Spread mulch, push wheel barrow and load wheel barrows
• Remove weeds and dead plants from landscape beds
• Prune bushes and trim lower branches on trees that are overgrown, or cause a hazard
• Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival and aesthetics
• Plant new flowers, bushes plants, and decorative shrubs
• Rake, blow or suck up fallen leaves and remove debris

Job Type: Full-time and Seasonal

Pay: $12-$14
