I always love capturing this photograph in some way during the day; I call it 'the cling.' It signifies to me the importance of holding onto one another while weathering the seasons.
Trust me, dear friend, you will walk through many seasons - even if you don’t choose them. But if you can cling to the hope that God provides and be obedient in your faith and in your marriage, you will see the fruits begin to blossom. 🍎🌸
My Bible reading today included Deuteronomy chapter 11, and it revealed to me a profound understanding of the meaning of obedience and how it can bring strength to your life.
Do you want to be stronger in some aspect of your life?
Truly exude strength to your friends and family?
Obey in the little things.
God doesn’t expect perfection; He simply desires your willingness to surrender, seek, and obey.
Honestly, this is such a prophetic nod to what the marriage covenant truly is. 💚

I often receive the question, “Why, should I take bridal portraits?”

Everyone's answer will differ, but for me personally, bridal portraits were an opportunity not only to have a dress rehearsal for my actual wedding day but also to look back and truly see the image of the woman God was calling me to be as a wife. Reflecting on those photos allows me to see my brides in a different light, capturing them at this significant season of their lives.

The look.
That moment when your spouse makes eye contact and sees you for you. The intelligent, light-hearted, gorgeous being God created you to be for that spouse.
It’s truly an honor to be able to capture these snippets of time, on this very short day in a photograph.
I can attest that those looks get so much better with time. I can look back at our wedding photos and truly appreciate the time we’ve spent together growing into what God calls us to. It’s remarkable with its fair share of messy but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Your photographs matter. Sometimes they are all you have left on this side of heaven 💚

There was no shortage of admiration on this beautiful wedding day.
Josh and Susan were such an amazing couple who truly put God first in their covenant to one another.
All I could think about was how I pray our daughter can meet a man who loves the Lord and his future bride like Josh exuded to Susan.

A mother's love. Unlike any other.
I just finished reading, "The Secret Book of Flora Lea" by a beautiful yet heartbreaking story of WWII London. Only to dive right back into, "Tom Lake" by owner Ann Patchett a story about family, love and life. Both books have such strong roles of mothers and I am loving it. Makes me thankful for my mom and all the mothers we've had influence us in this life.
Thanks for the Floral Lee recommendation, it was lovely!

Romans 12:10: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” This verse is prayer over each of my couples on their wedding day. Typically it’s while I am traveling to your venue. I pray for your communication with one another. I pray for a humble and grateful heart in your interactions with one another. I pray for wisdom in your decisions, friendships and money choices. I pray for God to bless my hands to photograph the intimate moments throughout your day.
Recently I had an interesting conversation about the expression, “You are in my prayers”. How many times have you heard that from someone? Typically it’s when you’re going through something that may be difficult or challenging. But is the deliverer of the expression sincere? Because unfortunately in today’s day and age we need prayer warriors desperately! I believe in spiritual warfare and I wholeheartedly believe in the power of prayer. I have felt the veil of being covered by those around you and it’s invaluable when you are walking through the valleys.
Prayers over marriage are essential and thank you for my couples allowing me the privilege of being able to pray for them throughout the start of their marriage season.

Do we really need to take engagement photos?I am ask this question during almost every bridal consult in my answer is always, YES…please!?
1.) They offer us the opportunity to meet one another before your wedding day. We can hangout for an hour or so and become more comfortable with each other.
2.) We are able to establish a relationship of trust through your sessions photos. Then you can walk into your day confident with my abilities.
3.) It puts your man at ease! He will at least know some of the posing prompts before being thrown into it on the BIG day and not feel overwhelmed with all the emotions and demands of everyone.
