Looking forward to another great Xmas Market this weekend!
Freckle and Castle of Sticks is the combination of two local makers. Freckle combines a passion for all things cacti, with all things yarn. Castle of Sticks showcases unique jewellery pieces from tiny bottles, to even tinier odds and ends inspired by nature.
Such a great day and so nice to see so many people out supporting local makers!
Wow what an amazing day yesterday! Nelson turned on the weather, the stall holders brought their A game with so many incredible products on offer, it was mind boggling. And SO great to see so many people out supporting & shopping local for Christmas!
Don't forget you can jog your memory on stall holders for those items youβre kicking yourself for not buying by checking our 2019 shopping guide -you'll find this on the menu tab on our page.
Massive thanks to all that came, let's do it again in 2020 π
Lovely to see everyone who came down yesterday to the first of the freckle Christmas markets. This Sunday is the 2019 Great Christmas Market at Founders. 10am - 4pm. $2 at the gate. Food, drink, entertainment, and of course gorgeous homemade & NZ made boutique and unique Xmas gifts. Bring plenty of cash! See you there π΅π΅βοΈπ ππ΅π΅
Beachcombers, these little shelly numbers are also coming back to the markets!
With shells and sand from kaiteriteri and split apple rock, they're locally flavoured and brilliantly coloured. Included are chips of kina shell, a few little keys, limpets, whelks, mussels shells, dried up weedy stuff, those triangle pyramidy shells I've forgotten the name of, sand, rocks, and cats eyes (a favourite of mine)
Find them at the great Christmas Market at founders this weekend (24/11 founders heritage Park), or the mapua Christmas Market next weekend (mapua Hall 1/12) I'll be at both alongside the amazing freckle (hand knit cacti) and at the Nelson Saturday markets every Saturday!
Pewter-topped crystals are making a come back! Look out for a massive hoard of these bad boys at the markets over the next few weeks. Unique and organic these necklaces are all one offs π§πΏββοΈπ
