Bay Port High School Class of 1969

Remember the "good ole days"? when the "hoods" hung out at the corner by the school? We knew the 2 or 3 kids that smoked pot? The girls that wore fishnet stockings were thought to be "fast"? Oh boy, we were labeling back then, right? I hope we have learned our lesson....Include everyone in your circle of friends/acquaintances...life can lead you in unexpected, exciting, wonderful places if you just enjoy each day...and be kind...Does anyone wish to post memories???

I have included some members of our Class of 1969 that I have found on FB. This is a closed group, so we would like to include as many members of our class as possible. I am only allowed to include those that have a FB page. Please pass the word...otherwise, I don't believe they can read any postings our OUR page.😊

Sorry that I have been sooooo poor at keeping this FB page interesting and informative. I am going to TRY to activate it and hope you will help. So sad to report that our high school classmate, Brenda Reinhard Magray has passed away. She fought a mighty battle, but her death came about on Monday evening, November 7. Her family will greet visitors from 4-7PM Friday, November 11 at Photenhauer Funeral Home in Howard with funeral service at 7. Please remember Brenda's family in your thoughts and prayers.

Brenda Reinhard Magray is still in the fight for her life. Please include her in your good thoughts and prayers. I'm sure she would LOVE to hear from you. She has a page!!!!

Don't forget the "gathering" tomorrow (May 10) at Anduzzi's in Howard at 4:00!!!!

a special picture of a special gathering a few years ago. Barb Bookter was visiting Green Bay (From CA) and we managed to talk her into an evening of fun. For those who are not aware, Barb Bookter passed away a few years ago. She was always a special friend to me..in high school and after. We were able to get together a year or so after this picture, in Solvang, CA for a weekend of shopping and catching up on life. Miss you, Barb

Hey all...attended a fun meeting last evening with members of Bay Port Classes of 68, 70, 71, 72 and 73. The date set for the reunion is September 23, 2016 beginning at 6:00 PM and will be held at the Townline Bar & G rill on Lineville Road in Howard/Suamico). The buffet (which includes assorted pizzas, meatballs, cheese/sausage, chips/dip, pretzels/dip and veggies/dip) will be available between the hours of 7-9. An open bar(unlimited mixers, house wine and unlimited soda) will be from 6-12 midnight. A band "Rocker" will play from 8-12 midnight. (As I mentioned previously, the band cost is being absorbed by a classmate and is NOT inlcluded in the cost to each individual). The cost for the evening PER INDIVIDUAL is $35 which includes a 50:50 drawing. A additional $1.00 is required if you desire a booklet which will identify each class/member (with pics).

You will soon be receiving a "Save-the-date" mailing which will provide the above information, with contact info. also. PLEASE pass this information on to as many individuals as you can as I have exhausted my search to locate ALL prior classmates. I have listed the classmates I have been unable to contact on an earlier posting (November 3, 2014). Please note and contact me if you can assist me in this task. Classmate, Brenda Reinhard Magray's husband, John, has recently passed away after a long journey with Alzheimers. Please join me in sending sinceer sympathy to Brenda and her family. We are all losing parents and other family members each day. Love and aprpeciate each and every day you have to share with those you love...don't just SAY it, LIVE it.

We need some opinions on a very important issue. Please respond at your earliest convenience, after you have considered all issues involved.

We have been asked, by the Class of 1970, to join them (and 2-3 other classes, i.e.71, 72) in celebrating our class reunion. These are the facts: it is going to be held in September, 2016 at Townline in Howard/Suamico. They have a band (we do not need to compensate..it has been paid for by a few members of other classes. There will be appetizers offered and an OPEN bar. The cost would be $30 per person.

Please let me know your opinion of this proposed change. Thank you and have a VERY WONDERFUL, BLESSED Christmas!!!!

Cindy Heroux Kmechek, our classmate, has recently experienced the loss of her father, Doug. Many of you may remember Doug's presence at almost ALL Bay Port sport games. He was the most verbal supporter we had! He will be missed by many Bay Port alumni. May God bless the family on their loss.

I know, I know...this page stays VERY quiet...there's not much to say; HOWEVER, we are trying to get some classmates together for December 7 at 4:00 at Anduzzi's on Lineville Rd in Howard. It is just a simple gathering, but you can sure enjoy a little food if you choose!!! We have attempted to reach as many classmates as we have info on., but I must apologize if you do not get the message. For any classmates reading this, would you please send me your email address as we can be sure we can inform you of any important information. Thanks! Hope to see many 1969 Bay Port faces there!!!

So sorry that I am again posting of the passing of the parent of our classmate, Gary Wennesheimer. My true sympathy to you, Gary. I note that you do not have siblings, but do have many other family members. Hope you can find comfort in each others' love.

Here's hoping that all of you and your family/friends have enjoyed a wonderful, blessed holiday season. I wish you all happiness and health throughout the coming year!!!!

Sorry to learn of the recent passing of Merlin Peters's mother, Bernice. My sympathy to you and your family.

I'm thinking Sally Plumley Buschka has a birthday coming up this month...HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sally!!! (and MANY, MANY MORE!!!!)

Finally...since I can't get back to sleep, I thought I could get this list done and hope that we can get some information on the location/addresses of the classmates we have yet been unable to locate...here goes: Elaine Christensen (Gary Olsen), Mike Frank, Joan Gillis (Eliias? Nader?), Sandra Gilson (Barth?), Jim Komorowski, Harlan Moen, Christopher Stujenski, Debbie Thyssen, Donna Wolf, Terry Tourtillot. I think this is pretty much all of them...If you can help with any information, it would be GREAT! Maybe you know a brother, or sister, or cousin of a former classmate...maybe you have access to a site for high school classmates...anything would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Facebook, an ancestry site I belong to, phone calls to people with same names, aunts, etc. (be sure to read obituaries, as they not only might be a former classmate...don't like to say that...but they may be a obituary of a parent or sibling and it may contain the name of our "lost" classmate.) I just read one this week that contained the name of Debbie Thyssen...a classmate that I have been unable to locate (it was her mother's obituary). Take care all and don't forget to post picturse on this site now and then...fun and exciting people, places, wise words to live by, songs of our generation, etc.
