CORNWALL! 👋 I will be at Dolly’s Pop Up (21 Church Street, Falmouth) this Friday 22nd. Probably for a couple of hours around 6pm. I will be selling a limited number of bottles, cocktail gift sets, mini gift sets and cocktail glasses.

The adult version of a childhood favourite! I use to love a coke float and his is 100 x better 😆 The perfect treat to cool you down in the heat ☀️
I used Artisan Drinks Co Pink Citrus tonic, which works wonderfully with Holly’s Gin 😍

It’s nearly 5 years since I officially started Holly’s Gin. It took me 2 years before that to develop my recipe, whilst working for other gin brands. Apart from the wonderful help from my husband, family and friends… it’s been just me behind my brand. 🙋🏻♀️
I’m super proud of what I’ve achieved on my own so far, but I have always regretted not having a co-founder. Someone to bounce ideas with, someone who is amazing at everything I’m not! 😅
So where do I find a business partner now? I honestly don’t know where to look! So I thought I would ask you! 😀

Trial & error - 😅
This has been my whole business journey I think! However my lockdown project was certainly something I had never done before. So proud of my little Gin Hut! ☺️ It was a real labour of love. Everything was pretty much reclaimed, the shelves and bar were old wardrobes my Dad found on Gumtree for a tenner! 🙌
Hoping to get her out on the road again soon. I had to swap my gin van for a car, so now need a tow bar fitted. They are expensive! Trial and error ey?! 🤷🏻♀️

today is ‘Learn’. Wow have I learnt a lot since starting my business! 💪
I sometimes miss the naivety I had at the start! Does anyone else get that? I used to just have no fear! But then again, I didn’t always think things through… 🫣
I found talking to other gin founders super helpful. I started a Instagram live series a couple of years ago called Gin to Gin. I had some amazing chats. I recall talking to Kathy from Brighton Gin who told me all about the first recipes (trials and errors!) and Vic who founded Graveney Gin… going through all the same bumps as I was!
This is why I love the small business community so much. Learning from each other makes everyone feel less alone. You all give me motivation to keep going! 🍸
Think I may start Gin to Gin again and learn more…
GIN or GYM? 🍸🏋️♀️
today is ‘start your day’. I try and make sure to get in a gym session at least 3 times a week. It’s all about balance! ⚖️ I can’t tell you the amount of times people have asked me what I do, then I respond saying “I have a gin business”… and they think I’m saying gym! 😆
In all honesty though, going to the gym makes a massive difference with my mental health. It’s hard working for yourself and from home, and sometimes I really don’t want to go! However I never regret a workout and always feel more focused after.
A little behind the scenes snippet for today 🎥
I pack all my orders in my gin cabin, carefully wrapping and handwriting notes to my customers. That’s what I love about shopping from small businesses… all the care that goes into each order! 💚☺️

Hello I’m Holly! I’m a little late today but want to join ☺️I have seen so many amazing brand origins so far!
💚HOLLY’S GIN BRAND ORIGIN (in a nutshell)…
I’m actually a bit emotional thinking about my brand story, as I was looking back at photos of my journey. I’m still on that rollercoaster! 🎢
🍸 I have been working in the gin world for about 12 years now. I never knew this would be my career!
🍸 I did always know I wanted my own business, and found my passion learning about gin whilst working at a gin palace in Cornwall.
🍸I studied history and have a love for vintage fashion and design.
🍸 After living in London and being ILoveGin’s ‘Gintern’, I decided to experiment with my own flavours in my small copper pot still called Brenda.
🍸I started Holly’s Gin with no money in the bank. My Crowd Funder was everything back in 2018. I had people believe in me and my product!
🍸 Holly’s Gin is now an award-winning London Dry distilled distillery here in Cornwall.
🍸 I have a gin hut/mobile bar and now sell cocktails and glassware, along with Holly’s Gin on my shop ‘Holly Harwood’.
Now what’s the next part of my story? …🙂
