Kids on the Move Children's Ministry

Did God give you the gift of organization? Do you find satisfaction in checking things off and completing tasks? Truly, we believe these are skills and gifts given by Him - that Ms. Tracy does not have! 🤣We are looking for a volunteer who knows this is part of how God made them.. who can come in and print, collate, and organize our Sunday lessons into folders for each unit that we present to the kids. This can be done at a time convenient to you if you take it home, or anytime here when the church office is open. This would be SUCH A BLESSING to our ministry! We'd love to chat with you about how something that may seem small to you could be a story of how God used your gifts to contribute toward kids learning the gospel! Message us or comment below!

Our Movement Church family is ON THE MOVE to bring the Good News to kids in Charlotte County! We were missing a few members, but most of our team participated in training today with our Impact Partner, CEF of Southwest Florida, as they prepare to launch Good News Clubs for this school year. EVERY elementary school in Charlotte County has a Good News Club, and we are blessed to lead two of them! Want to move with us? We would LOVE some more adults on our team for Peace River Elementary. Kids ministry is awesome! Whether we are celebrating baptism decisions with two 5th grade girls, watching 3-year-olds try to use a rotary phone as they learn that Jesus wants to spend time with them, or enjoying snapshots of our fourth graders learning how the authors of the Psalms used many emotions as they spoke to God... it's never a dull Sunday and there's always plenty to praise Jesus about! ❤️

Getting ready to talk about Good News Club at Peace River Elementary School's Open House! Our year-round schools begin next week, and Good News Club begins at the end of August. We would love some more adults on our team - find out how YOU can bring the gospel to kids in our local elementary schools! ❤️

Did you know that your children in our Preschool - 5th Grade classes are encouraged to memorize Bible verses with each unit? Right now, our younger kids can memorize Hebrews 13:16b or Proverbs 13:13, and our older kids are being challenged to memorize the Old Testament books of the Bible! We celebrated the 4th of July by wrapping up Day 4 of WinShape! One more day of camp tomorrow...enjoy some pictures from days 3 and 4!

Today is the first day of Winshape Camp! Pray for the hearts of these kids as they hear the gospel each day.

We had such a great week at Word of Life camp! Several kids even made life change decisions that we will be following up on in the coming weeks! 😍

Our group of 30 kids have arrived at Word of Life and are getting ready to have an amazing week of camp! Pray for their safety and for their hearts to be open to crossing the line of faith for the first time, or to grow in their relationship with Jesus!

Our Movement Church family is so generous! 😍 Because of your faithful giving, and because MORE & MORE KIDS keep walking through our doors 🥰... we were able to expand our supply of Easy Riser benches! Yesterday, they arrived and were added to our large group lesson rooms - 3 new red benches to our Map Room, and 10 new benches to our Topher Room! We can't wait to see them all filled up on Sunday!

We had a great time using our "new" spaces yesterday! Group worship, large group lessons, small group time ... we're so thankful for the generous giving of resources, time, and talents that continue to help us move kids toward knowing Jesus, loving others, and living changed!

We are ready for our NEW 3rd - 5th graders, who will be back in our children's wng starting today! Parents of all of our preschool through 5th grade kids, now that we are all under one roof again, we will be holding to a more tight time schedule as we are sharing spaces. ⏰️ Lessons begin PROMPTLY at 8:30, 10:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. - so please arrive early! We will let your children back 15 minutes before the start of each service...we can't wait to see them!

Our Kindergarten class had so much fun last week as they learned about how Nehemiah rebuilt the wall, and saw that (Big Idea here...) "We can be nice, even when others are mean to me."

PARENTS of our Preschool - 1st graders, please watch your inbox! Your kiddos will spend one more Sunday in their current grades before moving up on the 23rd. We look forward to learning and playing with them (and all the other kids) again on Sunday!

Did God bless you with creative gifts? We are praying for someone that can help create some "stage elements" with each unit that is studied back in our kids area. Our "stage" is not a large area, and our units last 4 - 5 weeks; the theme is already set by each unit - just looking for that person who can make it come to life! If you're looking for a way to serve at church but not on a Sunday - or if you haven't found a place to serve yet at church - Ms. Tracy would love to talk to you!

EXAMPLE: Coming up is a unit themed around solving riddles in the 'Dunes of Damascus' and uncovering a treasure in a tomb. We'd love to create what looks like a tomb entrance in a corner, and/or areas that help the kids think of the desert.

Praying that our need intersects with someone's gifting, and that God is already stirring up the "I really want to start serving" in someone...maybe you?!? This would greatly free up Ms. Tracy to do other ministry work. (We are looking for someone to create these for us every month, not just once.) We have been having so much fun with the “Artrageous” unit! Don’t forget that this Sunday (April 8th) is memory verse Sunday. The 3rd - 5th graders can get a prize if they have memorized Romans 1:16
