We thank Independence CC Head Coach Jai Steadman & Assistant Coach Thomas Tyler for coming yesterday to practice.

They are currently actively recruiting Tamir Anderson and during their time at practice they got to see him up close in a practice setting and our other guys as well.

This years group is loaded with talent. All of which with the ultimate goal of going on to the next level.

We are 0 days away from our #3 ranked Highland Park Runnin’ Scots opening the 2023/2024 season. As our #3 ranked Runnin Scots hit the road tonight to take on Bonner Springs, who is now 2-0 on the season.

On this 0 day counting down to Opening Night we remember a player who wore #0, arguably one of the best players to ever wear the Red & Green for Highland Park. Over a 1,000 points for his career, broke the 3 point record at Highland Prk 3 seasons in a row. 3 straight trips to the State Tournament, 2 Runner Ups out of those 3 trips, a TIT Champion, 3 time Centennial League Champion. His final 2 years at Highland Park saw his teams finish 47-3 in the 2 seasons. Following HP, he would go on to play Prep School at Sunrise Christian Academy, then going Division 1 and playing at South Florida and SMU. Then going on to have a great professional career overseas and in the NBA G-League.
