Winter Tree in two sizes!
I have made my latest painting into giclee prints in two sizes, and I'm really pleased with the way they have turned out.
Expertly printed by Paul Coghlin Photography they are on a beautifully textured, 100% cotton paper, which makes them look just like the original.
Available as A4 and A3, they are listed on my website (link in bio), if you would like to see.

A tree once stood in a field alongside a quiet country lane that we walk along every day. It looked very much like this one, with no leaves as it had died many years ago. Sometimes a lone rook would sit on one of its branches, adding a little bit of drama to the scene.
The tree came down in one of the recent storms we've had and now what remains of its trunk lies on its side, hollow and crumbling. I miss that tree!

My latest watercolour landscape painting is of a mountain rising above the pale coolness of a lake. This mountain is not in Suffolk 🙄 For those who have never been, Suffolk is rather flat!
Painted on 300gsm, 100% cotton paper. Approx 22 x 22 cm

It's a windy, wooly hat kind of day today, so a stormy little seascape seems appropriate.
Painted on 300gsm, 100% cotton paper. 21.5 x 15 cm.

Moody Blues
The start of a fresh and sparkly new week. Hope you have a good one!

A washy little seascape in indigo. Beautiful day here in Suffolk today, we are just off out to enjoy it. Hope you are able to get outside to make the most of it too :)
Watercolour painting on 100% cotton 300gsm paper.

We Stand Together
A watercolour landscape painting in lovely shades of blue, green and sienna. These three little trees flow into one another, as if standing together in solidarity.
21.5 x 15 cm. Painted on 300gsm, 100% cotton paper.
Hope you have a relaxing weekend x

A stoic little tree.

In Winter.
The snow, the stillness, the beauty of it all.
A small watercolour painting on 300gsm, 100% cotton paper.

Quiet, reflective, still. All words that apply today.
A misty, minimalist painting in watercolour on 300gsm pure cotton paper.

By the Lake.
Watercolour on 100% cotton paper.
There are a few things I wish I had done differently with this one, so will try again, once my paper has stretched. Working wet-on-wet takes some trial and error, but I am enjoying the direction of travel.
Just venturing out for a walk before yet another storm hits. Take care and have a lovely Sunday x

This one flowed nicely and I love the stillness of it.
Watercolour on 100% cotton paper.
Hope you are doing well :)

Today's painting is a little seascape in shades of indigo.
Watercolour on 100% cotton paper.
Hope your week is going well x

A little minimalist watercolour landscape using just one colour (indigo), I think it might be my favourite way to paint.

I love painting these little poppies. This one is in Payne's Grey with a hint of raw sienna around the edge of the petals.
Have a good start to the week x

Just two trees, doing their thing 💚

Good morning! Beautiful day here in Suffolk, almost makes the world feel normal. Hope you have a good weekend, look after yourselves x

A very abstracted little landscape in watercolour. I am enjoying this colour palette at the moment - it's a mix of blues, greens and yellows.
Have you had a good week?
Happy Pizzaday (for those who celebrate) xx

A Nordic Winter ❄
My husband looked at this and thought it looked like Scandinavia, and then we saw the news about the freezing temperatures over there, so that's what it became.

Who's back at work today? It's a quiet one here for us, with non-stop rain and a soft, moody light. Using the time to catch on admin and tax returns. Fun times.
In other news, I did lots of experimenting yesterday and nothing really worked out, until I did this little landscape, just before packing up for the day. I love the gentle colours and the minimalist, abstracted nature of it. I am an abstract girl at heart 🖤

The last mince pie has been eaten, just the Stilton to go and then we are done for another year! I'm not even sad about it.
This painting started out as something else entirely, and it went wrong, so I made it into a hill. It's going into my (quite large) failure pile, but I thought I would share it, as I quite like the sky.
I've called it 'Somewhere on Dartmoor' and there may, or may not, be somewhere that looks vaguely like that 😊
Stepping into '24 with some trepidation. Hope your first of January is going well.
xx
