No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, everyone gets invited to follow Jesus. In fact, at his birth, all the unlikely’s were there. Shepherds - they were never VIP’s; Mary, a teenager who knows well that “favor aint fair”, Joseph - “my wife is having God’s baby” and of course, Jesus. He’s the reason we all get invited. A kid yet a King! (Not even the kidney stone in my body this week could keep me from declaring and being grateful for Jesus!)

In Luke 18 the Pharisee basically says this… How great am I God Sing with me how great am I God… 😬😬😬

Just thought someone might need to be reminded today that even though it may not be well with your circumstances, it can be well with your soul.
FOLLOW YOU I wrote this song with Cody and Haley Fry after coming home from a conference in Orlando, FL. Missionaries from all over the world gathered for a week long conference and I was fortunate enough to hear some of their stories of love, sacrifice, courage and perseverance. They reminded me of what God can do with an open and willing heart. I hope this song might help courage rise up in you to follow Jesus wherever He leads you. #boggsvideojournal White picked fences Like walled defenses Keeping out everything That I don’t want to see I just shut my eyes To the pain outside And cover my ears So I can’t hear Your voice say “Carry the cross Go find the lost” I know You’re telling me to go To the hungry and hated The jagged and the jaded The valleys and the vagrants I’ll follow You To the beggars and the bypassed The orphans and the outcasts The damaged and the dead last I’ll follow You Wherever you lead me I’ll follow You Wherever You need me I’ll follow You Wherever it takes me I’ll follow You Even if it breaks me I’ll follow You So, what if we Dared to believe We’re the answer to a prayer We pray if we weren’t scared These pews are like bleachers Full of fans not leaders I’ll be the first to say I’ve been the last to obey (and) Carry the cross Go find the lost I know, You’re telling me to go CHORUS POST CHORUS Bridge We give ‘cause we’ve been given to We love ‘cause we’ve been loved by you We fight ‘cause we have been fought for Yeah, that’s a truth we can’t ignore When You’re telling me to go
The Confession I have been reading a good bit about confession recently. Most of what I have read reminds us to be honest, be vulnerable, be specific and then humbly ask for mercy. I tried to do that in this song that Josh Nichols and I wrote recently. There's so much more we could have said, but this is a at least a good start. #boggsvideojournal I need your mercy God, give me your mercy For the times my heart didn’t break When I casually asked for Your grace When I desperately wanted my way more than yours Lord have mercy Have mercy on me I need your mercy Grant me your mercy For the envy that’s hidden inside Baptized in excuses and lies For my cynical soul that brings darkness to life Lord have mercy Have mercy on me I’m sorry, Lord, I’m sorry This is my confession Forgive me, Lord, forgive me Pardon my transgressions I need your mercy Pour out your mercy For the moments I where I have been blind Drunk on my privilege and pride The unholy injustice I choose not to see Lord have mercy Have mercy on me I’m sorry, Lord, I’m sorry This is my confession Forgive me, Lord, forgive me Pardon my transgressions I need your mercy Pour out your mercy When my greatest treasure is me When I make your grace cheap but not free When I say all these words but don’t mean what I sing Lord have mercy Have mercy on me Michael Boggs / Josh Nichols
Repost from @wildfireworshipcollective • T H E L I G H T I remember reading a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that said, “There is no object so foul that intense light will not make it beautiful.” I believe Jesus is that light. No matter what we’ve been through, no matter what we’ve done, if we “walk in the light, as he is in the light, Jesus will make us clean.” We hope this song is a fun reminder of that earth shattering truth.
Heyoooo!!! New music soon! Repost from @wildfireworshipcollective • T-minus 6 hours until The Light releases! Can’t wait to share it with you!
