🍁Gorgeous day yesterday to get the fourth and fifth graders out to harvest their spring plantings! 🥕🥕
🍃Bumper crop of parsley for the fourth graders - we can’t wait to see pictures of how you use it at home in a recipe! Remember if you keep it in a little cup with some water you should last for a week or so. 💦
🥕👨‍🌾The fifth graders pulled out carrots lots of them ! Most small, but we got some of the biggest carrots I’ve ever seen! (All organic 100%! ) 😋
👩‍🌾The kids also cleaned out the planting beds to get ready for planting flower bulbs in a few weeks. 🍁🍂🥀

Well hello there little flower bud!!! 🌷💐☀️ If you have time pop in the learning garden with your children and look for the bulbs starting to poke their heads up! (Also feel free to help remove the popsicle sticks in beds and put in the beige bucket planter sitting by picnic table. ) 😉

❤️ How much do we love to dream about spring? The days are just a little longer, the sky a little more blue, the promise of warmer days not so far away … ☀️

Fall 2021 - Our classes planted HUNDREDS of flower bulbs and I am so excited to see our flower show start peaking up from the winter slumber in early April. Soon …🌷

What is your favorite spring flower? 🌼

Hey parents of TJS Kids! Interested in helping out your child's class in the garden planting flower bulbs? The request will come from your room parent today or tomorrow - the lessons are over the next two weeks and we are excited! We are learning about and planting Daffodils, Crocus, Tulips, Muscari, Hyacinth, Allium, Ranunculus... a spring flower show coming to TJS Learning Garden next spring!

Happy Fall Ya’all! 🍁
Our learning garden has been getting cleaned up after a year and half of no classes! We sure could use a hand this weekend for another round of cleanup! What can you do?

🌱🌱Weeding, weeding, weeding! 🌱🌱

We have lawn bags in the shed and gloves so please have it! And feel free to pop in on your own time - just remember to shut the gate and the shed! Don’t worry about the raised beds right now, just weeding and cleaning the paths please.

I will also be there this weekend for painting the sign, repairs on the fence, weeding, watering and getting ready for welcoming classes again! (2-5 Saturday) Please come and lend a hand if able! You can see our little helpers from last weekend as we started transplanting plants from our beds to fill in under the Garden sign. 💕

💐Classes will resume the end of October with lessons about flower bulbs and bulb plantings! 🌷

Thank you! - Holly
