It’s hard to imagine that back in 2009, when our household picked up 2 new crazy kittens, one of them would end up having a company named after it.
At the time we thought it was a good idea to let our 4 year old twin boys name these fluffy new additions to the family. After a few attempts they finally came up with the names Barkii and Turtle.
Sadly a few years later Turtle ran under a moving car leaving Barkii as our sole pet.
As you can imaging it was very sad especially for the kids, needless to say nowadays Barkii receives twice the love and attention and she doesn't complain...
Besides sleeping 27 Hours a day and constantly being on the wrong side of the back door, Barkii has adjusted quite well to having the massive pressure of a new company named after her. :)
It was back at the end of 2018 we felt it was time for a change. We decided to start a small family business where we would produce a range of high quality home-wares and also to use this venture as a way to give back. The problem was we needed a name for the business, preferably something short and available for use out in the world. One day Barkii jumped up on my wife's lap and the rest is history.
Our focus is to provide excellent quality, reliable and stylish products at a fair price, in a way that only a caring small family business can do. We use only the best quality materials so that our products will be long lasting and provide you with that feeling of money well spent for many years to come.
