For a few months many people have asked me questions about my personal progress, and the change in my lifestyle. I would not call myself fit at this point.
Questions have included: "How did I get motivated?" "How do I stick with it?" "How hard has it been?" "What do I eat?" "How often do I work out?" "What can I do?"
I have tried diligently to answer these questions as they come up, but at times, I forget who I have told what. There is also a lot to say, and often a simple question can not be answered in a brief post response or email. Having been ve
ry overweight for much of my adult life, I fully understand how overwhelming the idea of getting fit can seem. In truth, it is not nearly so difficult as the mind believes. Having seen the benefits as I have progressed, I would like everyone who desires it, to have the experience of being a fit person, and living a healthy lifestyle! There are many things I can not yet, such as run a mile, or do full push ups. But I am getting closer day by day. Fitness is a journey, and where I am today is not something negative, but a source of inspiration for tomorrow. I will share the continuing journey as I progress on this page. I will also share how I got from where I was- 45 years old, 240 pounds, wearing size 20- to where I am now- 46 yeas old, 173 pounds, wearing size 10. It is my hope that through putting everything out in the open, others can join this journey as well, and change their own lives!
