A New Era in Space Exploration
NewSpace Brownsville, along with the Expanding Frontiers, seeks to create entrepreneurs servicing the new space commercial industry and foster an improved employment environment for the community of Brownsville, the Rio Grande Valley and the US space and technology sectors.
The City of Brownsville is working in collaboration with Expanding Frontiers, a non-profit, created by with Dr. Fredrick Jenet. Dr. Jenet is an innovative astrophysicist, researcher, and inspiring educator whose research and activities are creating new models of education and advancing technologies for space exploration and related fields.

As the home to the SpaceX launch site and UTRGV’s STARGATE, Brownsville, Texas, is poised to be at the center of the future space industry in the United States. In collaboration with Expanding Frontiers (ExF), the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), and the Brownsville ISD (BISD), Brownsville has officially taken the first step in a new frontier where space and tech meet.
