Looking back, 2023 has been my biggest year of growth. I have learned a lot about myself. I have learned how important it is to listen to my heart rather than my brain. And if we all just took more time to listen to our hearts the world would be a better place. The brain tells us we are smart but the heart is smarter. We all have an inner compass that points to a particular direction. When you listen with your heart and follow your compass you will start to live a happier life. Just pause and get quiet. What is your heart saying?

December is here ✨Can you even believe it?! I feel like this entire year just flew by. So much has happened this year, wow 😯

I give a name at the beginning of each year and Twenty Twenty-three was the year of CONNECTION for me. Connection to myself, connection to my family and friends and a deeper connection to MUSIC. I have this little inspiration board that I made with all my goals for 2023 and I’ve pretty much done all of them! All rooted in connection. For some reason that surprises me! I’m excited for this next year and all the new projects and connections I make. Plus a new name for inspiration!

Posting for fun. I miss this day! Especially all the Star Wars guys….Also gearing up to be a full time baseball mom again cause baseball season is coming up for these boys ⚾️ 🤪

Mornings always feel hectic for me. Breakfast, lunches, “put your socks on” “did you get your stuffy for nap time?” “Where’s your folder?” And then “oh s**t I forgot my electrolytes for workout class I guess I’ll be nauseous this morning” 😅

Recently, I realized that I am someone who gets burnt out easily. I work really hard and I go go go until I literally have no more to give.

Yesterday I wanted to quit everything. I know that sounds dramatic but I literally was telling myself “I don’t want to play music anymore” how ridiculous is that?!

You know what I did? I got my kids to school, worked on my voice (I’ve been hoarse for going on two weeks 😞) mopped my floors, organized legos, hot wheels, and army men. Didn’t. hardly. talk. to. anyone. lol!!!!!!! Meal prepped healthy food. Made some very important decisions regarding Maui Love. Started up our new printer so I could check off my list all the ‘thank you’ letters I need to send out and I packaged stickers for everyone who commented “stickers” a few posts ago! And went to bed at 8:45pm! I feel way more clear this morning.

I LOVE being a musician. And I LOVE all my gigs and the friends that show up week after week to hear me sing. It fills my soul. I love writing songs and learning new music. The truth is I need to do more of that and less of other things (like hours in town shopping 🙄 or taking on other peoples projects) that stress me out.

Preparation for the weeks to come is what I need so I can have successful mornings and days. But hey I’m starting to pack my kids lunches the night before so that’s a good start in the right direction! Lol
