Join us on our first RSJ learning retreat of 2022! Spend a weekend with your RSJ peers from across North America. Explore how Passover itself and the events that led to it can be an especially significant part for the NA RSJ community’s narrative. We will delve deep into the history and traditions of the RSJ community and how we can compare our unique historical past with the events of Exodus and what interesting parallels we can draw from it. Let's connect the past, the present and the future and make our next Passover seder deeper and more meaningful than ever before! We will also celebrate Shabbat and Havdalah and have fun as a big RSJ community!

It has been a while since our last in person retreat and since then the world and we, ourselves, changed a lot! The thing that stays the same is the desire to be together as a community and explore further ourselves, our history and the unique place that the RSJ community occupies on the map of the contemporary Jewish world!
Join us and spend 3 days with RSJ peers across North America to feel “at home”, celebrate Shabbat and Havdallah together, learn from educators and each other!

Privet lovely RSJs,

We are ecstatic to announce that that the SF-RSJ Moishe House is back (now in the Mission) and ready to rumble! Though we are still searching for a third roommate, we'd like to introduce our two new residents: Misha Lerner and David Kurkovskiy. Both of us are PhD students in the Berkeley Slavic Department.

This fall, we'll be doing things like putting on film screenings, hosting blinchiki picnics in Dolores and working with all of you to help build a larger RSJ community in these fragmented times.

But before we get to all that, we want to invite you all to our first shabbos dinner next Friday on the 27th at 7pm. We look forward to meeting you all, and discussing what you all want out of this community. While dinner will be served (Russian-Italian fusion! --- we're calling it Ritalian), all are welcome to bring over dishes and beverages (particularly wine and beer). Please message Misha, David or the page for the new address in the Mission.
