WELCOME CASEY WADDELL!

This is Casey’s thirteenth year as an educator. Before serving as a District Instructional Coach, Casey taught in various K-6 classrooms, all of which were in the Columbus County School system. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Wilmington in 2011 and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University in 2016. In May 2022, she completed her Master’s in Administration for School Executives from UNC-Wilmington. She is Nationally Board Certified in Early and Middle Childhood/Literacy. She is passionate about curriculum and instruction and helping teachers succeed within their classrooms, knowing this will carry over into their instruction for students.

Casey has two boys. Jackson (7) is a rising second grader and Jennings (6) will be attending the first grade. She grew up in Columbus County and looks forward to contributing back to the school district where she attended kindergarten through high school. She is eager to watch her boys do the same. Casey enjoys making memories with her family and lots of time at the beach. One of her favorite hobbies is reading and fishing with her boys. She looks forward to beginning her administration career at WTS and is thankful for this opportunity!o
