At DPA we know that murals are not permanent but it is sad to see them coming down. We spent so much time and effort creating some history and beauty in this old parking ramp on Water St. in Binghamton. This mural by Zach Wilson represents the player piano which was built on this site. Other murals depicted the Bundy time punch clock which led to IBM Computers, the Link Organ Co who begat the Link flight simulator which trained WWII pilots and then astronauts. And the American Dance Asylum which pioneered multi media dance events in the Parking Ramp Dance. Combine all that history on that spot and you have Binghamton as the Birth of Virtual Reality (computers, robotics, simulation, multi media). Claim it, Binghamton!
