Ugly Ears fans, a new era for watching the UFC. Starting tomorrow you can watch the UFC on ESPN. The UFC will no longer be on Fox or Fox Sports 1! Prelim bouts are on regular ESPN, all other fights, including the main card, are on ESPN+. This sucks because ESPN+ is a subscription service. Not sure what the monthly fee is but it's the UFC just looking to create more revenue. Prelims are free on ESPN.

Hi Ugly Ears fans. Well, it may be a quiet MMA weekend, but that doesn't mean there's not some Ugly Ears worthy activity going on! At 3:15 pm est you can find college wrestling on the BTN network, Rutgers vs. Minnesota. Then at 6:00 pm est there's more college wrestling on ESPN2 wit North Carolina vs. Ohio State.
And, on NBCSN at 10:00 am est you'll find rugby with Wasps vs. Northampton.
So, get your Ugly Ears gear on and watch some warrior sports! Have a great Sunday!
Big New Year's weekend for Ugly Ears fans! UFC fights on the 29th with the return of Jon Jones as he takes on Alexander Gustafsson in a light heavyweight title bout! On the card you also have Cris Cyborg vs. Amanda Nunes for the ladies featherweight title bout! Main card is on PPV while the prelims are on FS1 starting at 8:00 pm est. Lets see if Jones can make it to the fight! Any thoughts!
Then, coming up on New Years eve you have the Professional Fighters League's first championship night with six PFL world title fights on the line and a purse of $10 million dollars! Fights are on NBCSN and start at 7:00 pm est.

Happy Holidays to all of the Ugly Ears fans! It's a quiet weekend, but there is some boxing on tonight on Showtime and Fox. On SHO you have Whyte vs. Chisora starting at 5:00 pm est. This is a rematch of the two heavyweights. Whyte won the first match in a controversial decision, so this fight should be exciting!
On Fox, at 8:00 pm est we have undefeated middleweight champ Jermall Charlo vs. Russian Matt Korobov. On the same card is Jermall's twin brother, Jermell, undefeated junior middleweight who will be battling the challenger Tony Harrison. Sounds like a great boxing card, so tune in! Remember to wear your Ugly Ears gear!
Finally, HBO ends it's boxing coverage tonight with a women's bantamweight bout between Cecilia Braekhus and Aleksandra Magdziak-Lopes. Braekhus, a Norwegian, was in the first ladies boxing match on HBO, so it's fitting that she'll be in the last.

Gadelna vs. Ansaroff in a ladies strawweight bout and Aubin-Mercier vs. Burns in a lightweight bout are just two of the four prelim bouts.

Ugly Ears fans, there will be nine new inductees into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum in Canastota, NY on June 9th, 2019. A great honor, they will be:
1) Donald Curry (dubbed the "Lone Star Cobra", he posted an amazing 400 - 4 record as an amateur and a 34-6 record as a pro. He was a WBA and IBF welterweight champion.
2) Julian Alexis Jackson, nicknamed "The Hawk", WBA and WBC middleweight champion with 29 consecutive wins, 27 by knockout with a pro record of 55-6 with 49 knockouts!
3) James Walter "Buddy" McGirt, WBC and IBF light welterweight and WBC welterweight titles, with a 73-6-1 record.
4) Tony Demarco won the welterweight title in 1955. He retired with a 58-12-1 record with 33 tkos.
5) Don Elbaum was a fight matchmaker for over 10,000 fights, after a 40-10 amateur career, and promoting over 1,000 cards.
6) Guy Jutras was the 1950 Maritime Providences Golden Gloves and 1951 Royal Canadian Navy champion, winning all five of his professional bouts before becoming a judge and referee.
7) Lee Samuels was a long time sportswriter who covered boxing in NJ and PA.
8) Teddy Atlas won the 1976 Adirondack Golden Gloves lightweight title before apprenticing as a trainer under the legendary Gus D'Amato while GUs trained the young Mike Tyson. After training other champions, he became a beloved and respected commentator.
9) Mario Rivera Martino served in the Army from 1942-1944 and covered Joe Louis's tour of the Army camps for The Ring, which he wrote for for over 50 years. He was appointer Boxing Commissioner of Puerto Rico in 1991.
And there you have it. Congratulations to all nine inductees!
