Hope everyone is having an amazing summer!! Can’t wait to get back into the kitchen with our bears. 🐻 🍽️

Yesterday we served a cold chicken wrap with a choice of avocado lime ranch or ranch dressing with chips.

Today the students of The Bear Den Bistro served a French Dip sandwich with au jus and fries. We hope y’all enjoyed!

This weeks service we had an amazing Chicken Alfredo with salad and cheesy garlic bread. We hope yall enjoyed!!

We missed y’all but culinary is back in business! Today we did a delicious lunch service. This meal was a chicken burrito with rice and cheese. As a side we served pinto beans and chips with queso. We hope y’all enjoyed this meal as much as we did to making it!

Culinary 2 students participated in the regional soup project today. Both groups were given a region and had to choose a soup to make from that region and tell us why. These students never fail to amaze me with their endless creativity and passion for cooking. Great job!!! 👩‍🍳

Today Culinary 2 students made their own chipotle bowl. This included Home made queso, sour cream, lettuce, white rice, cilantro, black beans, chicken, and guacamole. These were amazing, good job!

Last Thursday Culinary did the seasoning contest. Classes got to stop by to try seasonings and vote on the best one. They really killed it!! Congratulations to the winners: 1st period winner Kai Shawn Taylor, 2nd period winner Felisha Wilson, and 3rd period winner is Kemora Taylor.

Bear Den Bistro doing Bear Den things.

Last night was our last and most memorable catering of the year. We were able to serve and honor our AVID students and parents. This is been an amazing year for the Bear Den Bistro and it’s student owners.

If you missed today's service you are kicking yourself. Today we served more than 70 people. For Breakfast we served a Breakfast Quesadilla filled with meat, eggs, cheese and veggies with Hashbrowns and for lunch we served Fried Chicken, Cabbage, Baked Mac & Cheese, Corn Bread and our Award Winning Sweet Potato Puff for dessert.

What an amazing day at the Bear Den Bistro. We had 2 seniors and 4 juniors promoted to Sous Chef of the Bear Den Bistro. They are amazing people, students and leaders. I'm extremely proud of all of them.

Great day to be a co-owner in the Bear Den Bistro. Congratulations to Ava Willoughby and Brooke Howard on winning 2 out of 4 categories today at the School Nutrition Farm to School Culinary Competition. They won best use of turkey and best side dish. They also won $250 each.

Today we hosted a breakfast meeting for the Craven County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Student owners did an awesome job.
