The Lagos State Government has directed that allPublic and Private Secondary Schools should vacate on 16th December, 2019 and resume for the 2nd Term academic activities on Monday, 6 th of January, 2019 in accordance with the Lagos State School Calendar for 2019/2020 Academic Year .
While
All Public Pre-Primary and Primary Schools should vacate on13th December, 2019 and resume for the 2nd Term Academic Activities on Monday 20th January, 2020 in accordance with the Lagos State School Calendar for 2019/2020 Academic Year . ( Reason : The Public and Primary School Head Teachers and Teachers will be attending EkoExcell Pre-Service Professional Development and Technology Training Programme between the months of December, 2019 and January, 2020.)
NOTE: The new dates only affect public primary schools. According to the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy closing and resumption date earlier given for private schools and government secondary schools remain unchanged, the change in dates for public primary schools on the need to implement extensive retraining of teachers and prepare them for the 2020 session.
Please note that the curriculum of Lagos State private and public schools is not affected in any way by these changes and Lagos State will continue to implement her existing curriculum across the State.
Kindly disregard any misleading information contrary to the information above.
All public and private schools, school leaders and school associations are implored to take note and adhere strictly to the this notice as defaulters will be sanctioned by the State Government on any school who fails to comply with the above notice.

*Resumption Tips*
As we prepare for 2019/2020 academic session, remember that unscrupulous people are also preparing to cause havoc. Please let's us consider these few tips for God sake

👏 Don't write your child's name where it can be easily seen. Remember that anyone who calls your child by name is no longer a stranger

👏Dont drop your child at the gate and zoom of. Make sure the child enters the class before you go

👏 Always call the teacher later to check if your ward is in class

👏 inform the teacher and school security if you will be coming late

👏 Make adequate alternative if you won't be opportuned to go to their school after closing.

👏 Don't put your total trust in Okada drivers and keke napep rider'

👏 If you have children below ten please ensure that there is an older adult to pick them

👏 Due to the rains, bush part will be very bushy, let them avoid these parts.
👏 Teach your child never to walk alone.
👏Teach them not to accept ride in the scorching sun
👏 Teach them to stay in school when there is heavy rain. They are not to walk on gutters during rain, its base might be faulty,
👏 please let us endeavour to give our children food to school no matter what, they easily get carried away during break.
Make sure they carry bottle(s) of water so as not to beg for one in school. It can be disastrous.
Finally, teach them to trust in God and pray 🙏at all times.
I pray that Almighty God guide and protect our children. All attempt of the evil ones over their lives will be brought to shame.
