Have there been pyramid schemes that were put out there as MLM, YES. 🙈

Pyramid schemes ARE ILLEGAL because there is an exchange of money for NO goods or services.
MLM are paid off the sale of a product or service, building a team and some pay you bonuses for advancing in the company as well as bonuses for recruiting other "sellers" into your organization.

Now, Direct Sales, which is my business, is even more product sales focused! You get paid a % for selling a product and you get paid when you build a team that also SELLS PRODUCTS. No one gets paid unless products are sold.

This is so far from a PS and it truly irks me how many people are still so uneducated about my profession. 🤦‍♀️

There is no way to make money unless a product or service is SOLD!!! 🔑🔑🔑

You are not paid for "recruiting" and your income is not based on any bonuses either. You find a product you love❤️, you share it with people you know🌎, and you help others who love the product as well do that same thing😁!

Taxes. I remember when taxes were fun. I remember the mad rush to see how much we would get back (because we were broke 😳). Finally get whatever it was we had put off getting because we couldn't afford it before once the check went in.

Today is not so much fun doing our taxes IF I don't have the right perspective. I can moan and complain about the fact that there's no return check coming in, or I can rejoice in the fact that 2 years ago, I took $99 that I really didn't have at the time to ensure I'd never have to wait for my tax return to breathe a temporary sigh of relief. The check I got in March would cover all our household bills.

I've had women say to me "my husband is worried about the taxes if I do this". I think (respectfully 😉) "well then your husband doesn't understand taxes" lol!! Our tax system was BUILT to benefit the entrepreneur. You wouldn't believe what you can deduct being self employed!! Our system rewards those who CREATE, & that's what entrepreneurs DO!

I'm for what I invested. I'm still speechless when I look at what it's turned into 😩 🙏🏼😍
