“But Sarah, you’ve always been thin!”
Skinny DOES NOT = healthy! We were eating out 3-4 times a week (fast food – usually Taco Bell – where are my Taco Bell lovers 🙋♀️), going through fertility treatment (never thought that would happen to me – I just thought I would get pregnant when we started trying – not the case) and the only exercise I would do was running 2-3 miles everyday.
Now, I had known about the FASTer Way to Fat Loss since the program was created. I worked with the CEO, , as a receptionist many moons ago, and followed her journey to forming this AMAZING program, but I didn't jump in right away. I thought fasting sounded daunting, and let's be honest, I wasn't ready to give up my Taco Bell.
Fast forward to August 2018. I had been through 2-IVF pregnancies (and PTL, I have 2 healthy boys out of it), but my hormones were wrecked, my energy was gone, my face looked like a teenager from all the acne. I was just living out the day to day motions.
I decided to give the FASTer Way a try…..
And do you know what happened?
First thing I noticed was my complexion clearing up, then the energy came, the stomach discomfort was minimal, and I was overall feeling so much better.
I started lifting weights and doing minimal cardio. I did get a lot of hatred (even from family) as I started my journey, because they said I was so thin and I didn't need a diet. What they didn't know, was that I was very unhealthy on the inside, despite what the outside showed, AND they didn't know the FWTFL was a diet…..it's a lifestyle change!
Girlfriend, I want YOU to experience what I have experienced through living the FASTer Way. I want you to have the energy to play with your kiddos after a long day. I want you to feel confident and want to show up in those photos at the beach with your kids, so they can cherish those memories for years to come. I want you to have the strength to pick those kiddos up when they are hurt and need you.

It is Spring Break week and we have friends and family in town visiting this week, so I plan to enjoy every bit of what the week brings!
That’s the beauty of living the FASTer Way. I know there are things I can do to move the needle forward on my goals, while still enjoying my the foods I love.

Why your chosen accountability partner may not be the right choice…
Accountability is important. In fact, you have a 95% chance of reaching your goals if you’ve identified a specific person as an accountability partner. If that’s the case, you’re probably asking why you haven’t reached your goals, even with an accountability partner. Well, there’s actually a good reason. You chose the wrong person. 😮
Instead of choosing your bestie (or someone struggling in the same areas you are) as an accountability partner, look for the following:
1️⃣ Someone who possesses strengths in the areas you’re weak.
2️⃣ Someone whom you admire. Make sure you believe in her values and her lifestyle. Choose someone who’s already done what you’re trying to do. 💯
3️⃣ Someone who isn’t afraid to ruffle your feathers - someone who actually holds you accountable and doesn’t give in when you suggest, “Mexican for lunch again today?” 😉
When you choose the right person to hold you accountable, your odds of success increase drastically! 💯

Women in your mid 30’s, STOP doing this…..🛑
If you are trying to lose weight in your mid-30’s, chances are, you are doing things that are sabotaging your hormones (calorie deficit, keto, lack of sleep, too much cardio, etc).

The one question we’re all asking ourselves this week…
We’ve found ourselves right in the middle of Christmas and the new year - the week where none of us know what to do or what day it is. I’m convinced this week was given to us so someone could have a big laugh. 😉
We already know this week is tricky to navigate. We toy around with getting back on track or waiting until after the new year. The answer can be “both”. It doesn’t have to be either/or, all or nothing, or black or white. 💯 That’s the type of thinking that’ll get us in trouble if we don’t live up to our extreme expectations. It’s okay to ease back in this week, both physically and mentally! Consider where you’ve been struggling the most and start there! 👌🏼 Small consistent steps in the right direction will get you to your goals - every time! 🙌🏼
❓Have you become lax with tracking?
✅ Track at least your protein this week.
❓Have you been drinking too much eggnog and hot chocolate?
✅ Commit to removing sugar-filled drinks and replacing them with flavored or sparkling water.
❓Does working out feel like a thing of the past?
✅ Take a walk a few days this week or commit to a couple of strength training workouts this week.
Instead of asking, “Should I get back on track or wait until after the new year?”, ask yourself, “What can I do today that will move the needle forward?” ➡️

Do you know what the most important macronutrient is? (Or do you even know what a macro is?!)
Macronutrients are just a big fancy word for the breakdown of protein, fats and carbs that are in the foods we eat.
If you are a client of mine, you have heard me say over and over again….if you can only hit ☝🏼 macro goal, that should be protein.
