Westbound Hos - Part Deux
American Rottweiler Club 2024 National Specialty in Estes Park CO. We're leaving April 17th for 10 glorious days. Come join us!
2500+ miles and we are home!
Stayed in Kansas City last night and now we are at crapper barrel next to the wind so we can keep an eye in the boys. No bad weather so far.
Haboob!!
Homeward bound!
Sessanta - Unless you really like these peeps, you should probably skip this.
The Sessanta Tour - sessanta means 60. It's Maynard's 60th birthday celebration.
After the Pie VII repair debacle, we drove home, fed and peed the dogs, packed our bags for the concert and headed off. Arrived at 1745. Only 45 mins past Jennyfer's preferred arrival time. Secured one of the last cripple spaces in the upper north lot. Farted (literally) around in the van until 2015 (it was delayed because there had been lightning in the area) then got in line and through the gate. Not knowing our ass from a hole in the ground, we wandered into the first opening we saw and started talking with the usher guy. He took pity on us and said we were his guests for the night, wrist-banded us as cripples, and gave us CHAIRS at the top of the stadium. Our little area also had clean, huge bathrooms. Then I went in search of snackies and found a corndog!!! It was $10 and huge and delicious. Worth every penny. Also got popcorn. COULD. NOT. HAVE. BEEN. MORE. PARE-FECT. Breezed through the merch line and snagged Gary Folz a t-shirt. Show is over and we drift out with the masses. Return to the van in a couple of minutes. Back out and head down the mtn. It's cake!!!! We drove straight out, no traffic snarls, home in 20 mins. Unbelievable.
What's more unbelievable? I totally enjoyed the show without knowing a single song. Primus was my favorite, followed by Puscifer, then A Perfect Circle. I really liked the lead singer for Primus and his bass playing. The end. Of this post. Video post to follow.
Sights from the top. The lines are ridic. Zoom in. Gates opened 30 mins late.
After a successful repair performed by Brayden, we are in the last cripple (I'm the cripple, I can say that) space at the top. Ready to rock. Haha BRING ON PUSCIFER!
Waiting for $1200 in repairs to right front.
Another cache here, then ...
Caching at the park.
Geocache report: So. Jennyfer climbed up a massive rock formation to look for a cache. I mean massive. She was overwhelmed by the view from the top. Then she successfully climbed back down to me. Then we found Bumble's rock and re-created the photo while poor Yaxley was tied to a tree to keep him out of the way. She is still big head and beaming from her successful up and down at 57 years of age.
Who knew they could be so good??
Ruckyroo do do do do do do ...
Continuing our morbid ways ... the house JonBenet Ramsey was killed in.
I can hardly stand this. She almost made me cry with this re-creation. On the left is Bumble, 14 years ago today. On the right is Ruckyroo today. The same forking day! The feels people, the feels!!
Heading into Estes Park this morning!
Not sure where the first video post went, but here it is again. Two short, and one 1 minute long stream crossing.
Here's the yellow-headed blackbird in action. Video by Susie.
Miscellany
Jenny is 2 for 2 picking me someplace for lunch. Today's surprise was freshly hand-cut fries aka homemade!! Can't wait to get more onion rings tomorrow.
Returning across the stream thanks to our guide, Susie!!
Most glorious day of vacay. HARSES!!! I was on Shelby, Jenny on Joe, and Mary on Clyde. If I cheesed any more my face would crack. Weather was pare-fect and we loved our guide, Susie!
Morning funzees.
Back home and relaxing in the yard. Boy dogs 🥰
