We are the Briar Woods Visual Effects Club! The club was founded by Adithya Saikumar to spread the unique hobby of film making.
Club members work on videos from pre-production (Planning, Storyboarding, etc.), to production (Filming), to post production (Editing and VFX). Last year, the club worked on the short film Little Dark One for the Technology Student Association Digital Video Production Competition. In 5 minutes, they had to create a video in the theme "Suspense". Little Dark One starred Emily Ready, Camden Phalen,
Andrew Park, and Nick Hintze. The short film went on to win 1st place at the Regional Competition and 2nd at the Technosphere State Competition. It qualified to go to Nationals at the Ga***rd Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN, but due to transportation conflicts the club could not go. This year, the club has goals of making short videos on a more regular basis and plan to compete in TSA again, this time to go all the way.
