I am so excited to be part of the Stay At Home Parent Market at this Saturday (9/14) from 10-4pm! Along with some amazing local makers, there will also be live music, kids yoga & dance, and a clothing/toy swap!😍
Being a parent has been my most rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling role, and I’m so grateful to be part of an event that celebrates us makers out there doing the damn thing while also raising humans!🙌

These will be available at the RVA BIG Market this Saturday (8/24). Did you know I take custom orders at the market? The rust/burnt orange triple hat hanger is a custom order and I might need to recreate it for my own hats! Custom orders are my absolute favorite because I love helping people’s vision come to life.✨👁️✨

Hi friends! It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself so I wanted to share a bit about the artist behind In Between Dreams!💫
My name is Walker and I live in Richmond, VA with my husband, 2 & 4 year old, and 2 dogs.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Sculpture & Extended Media and have always been fascinated with installation art and home decor. I have a background in visual display and marketing and worked for several small businesses before launching In Between Dreams in 2018.
When I’m not making macrame, I enjoy hiking, thrifting, gardening, and moving my body in any way that feels good at the moment. I love exploring all things wellness and learning ways to nourish my body, mind, and spirit. In recent years I’ve connected deeper with my soul through plant medicine and meditation. I am very drawn to astrology and all things cosmic. My sign is a Cancer sun and double Leo rising/moon.
My kids are my heart and soul and keep me so busy! One of my favorite things about being a mother is witnessing the magic of creativity through their eyes. They are currently obsessed with acro yoga so I spend a lot of time on the floor with them balancing on my feet.
In Between Dreams came to me in a dream and I am forever grateful for this space to channel my creativity. I truly believe that home is where the heart is, so it brings me so much joy to make unique pieces that bring happiness into a space. I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported me along this journey. I am a mother first and foremost, and to be able to create artwork that helps me stay home with my kids is truly a dream come true.
I am so excited to be back at the RVA Big Market bi-monthly starting in March! I’ve been working on some new projects so stop by and see me or click the link in my bio to check out my Etsy shop. I’m not the best at keeping up with posting but after my little hiatus I feel energized and excited to share the new things I’ve been working on. Today is my last RVA Big Market before I take a little hiatus to holiday prep, have minor surgery, and move. Life has been a little crazy lately. My oldest just started preschool, my husband is traveling a lot for work, and we are in the thick of building a tiny home and getting our house ready to sell. Sometimes the universe just loves to throw a bunch of changes at you at once.😅🤪
During these busy times, macrame has been such a sweet escape from all the noise. I am forever grateful to have found a craft that’s both grounding and freeing.✨🫶🏻

Use your hands to make something you can take home with you! Join us for Mindful Macrame on Sunday afternoon June 25th from 1-4pm ET. Register for the zoom class by June 18th to receive materials in the mail.

In this three hour workshop we will explore mindfulness through the art of macrame! Walker will lead you through an overview of macrame and how it can support a mindfulness practice. You will learn a few different macrame knots to create design, texture, and pattern within your piece. Participants will leave with a finished wall hanging, and the know-how to design and create many more pieces on your own!

In Between Dreams .co is a line of modern bohemian decor by Richmond, VA artist Walker Generelly. Inspired by her love of textile craft and home decor, Walker creates unique pieces for the home. By using dip dyed textiles, macrame, and weaving, she creates one of a kind wall decor and accessories. Each piece is handmade with love and meant to bring joy into any space.

Due to material costs for your hanging, we don't have sliding scale for this, but please feel free to DM us if you'd like to utilize some of our access funds. We don't want finances to be an obstacle to our programs whenever possible.

If you'd like to join this event and donate to our access funds, you can do that as an add-on when you register.

Hey friends! 💓 I realized I haven’t introduced myself in a while so I wanted to share a little about the maker behind In Between Dreams!
My name is Walker and I live in Richmond, VA with my husband, 1 & 3 year old, two dogs, and cat! Creating art has always been a passion of mine and it’s taken many different forms throughout my life. I have a Bachelor’s of Sculptor & Extended Media with a minor in Craft Material Studies and have always been in love with textiles. I discovered macrame working as a visual display artist and created In Between Dreams in 2018. Since then I’ve done countless markets, taught over a dozen macrame workshops, and done many different custom projects including wedding decor. I now stay home with my almost 1 and 3 year old and macrame has continued to be such a beautiful way to express myself and fuel my creativity. I continue to learn more about macrame everyday and love teaching others about such a meditative and gratifying art practice!
When I’m not making art I love to do yoga, get out in nature with my family, create fun art activities for my kids, and explore Richmond with my husband.
Thank you so much for being here and for all of the love over the years! 💓 I haven’t been as present on here as I’d like (two kids in two years 🤪) but I’ve been really excited about creating again and have lots of ideas to bring to life!
