I will see you in the studio soon and I will be happy to bring you more content, but for now, I will leave this here. I am working on being more purposeful in my work, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to reflect on my own practice and teachings right now. The purpose of Yoga is not only to connect to yourself, breath, body, mind, or to heal yourself and others, but also to overcome things you never thought were possible, to change your perspective, to surrender to oneness. Yoga is not peace and love without justice and liberation. 🖤

• your knees can start just above the elbow here & eventually work up to near or in the armpit. The journey takes patience 🙏🏼 (and a lot of tricep work 😅)
With that, this posture makes me appreciate the stages of my own growth as well as the different variations to express. Everyone’s bodies are so different and everyone is exactly where they need to be in their practice ✨

I’ve been trying a lot more lately .... & as always with arm balancing, it’s all about that firm base in the hands. Form is what has grounded me here - spreading my fingers, pressing into the base of my palms, and tucking my elbows in & trying to level out my shoulders. Everything from the fingertips to the toes & every little movement is connected and the yoga practice reminds us of that 🤞🏼 we truly thrive with proper alignment and engagement
• staying rooted & grounded so I’m able to support myself when I rise ✨
with the breeze tossing around my hair, I feel the simple joy from the element of air ✨
humbled by the sun and the wind, my inner awakening begins ✨
meditation — nothing here is required but your breath & presence 🤞🏼 allow yourself to feel, to be.
Many people I teach meditation to believe it’s all about “clearing the head space,” but our minds are not meant to be silenced. In taking time with yourself and practicing stillness, you allow your thoughts to come in and let them go as they are, and allow yourself to be present. You practice non-attachment to what does come and fully experience yourself and your emotions.
I’ve cried during meditation, I’ve felt angry, I’ve felt so happy that I get goosebumps on my arms & butterflies in my stomach. It is about awareness and acceptance and realizing this greater connection with the Self.
It’s a very personal and introspective experience and it can go so many different ways, and it’s beautiful.

Attaching to the desires or seemingly significant “needs” or wants only causes suffering on this journey.
We may temporarily feel good about what material objects or outer sources bring to us but ~ what you experience internally is so much more than what anything outside of your being could offer. You are abundant and whole just as you are. All you need is already within you.
Experience the inner world and it’s wonders and care for your being without seeking pleasure anywhere but inside. Contentment & happiness are to follow. 🦋

My father passed along to me the tightest hamstrings. Thanks dad. Postures that really tap into this area feel so amazing when I’m properly aligning in my own body... with postures my body isn’t totally comfortable with, I am reminded to appreciate my unique body type and expression through it 💕 I am sent more pure love and understanding in moving in such a way ~
Be gentle, be kind to yourself and your flaws & know that imbalances in the body are completely natural/normal. Embrace them! Love them!
low lunge / anjaneyasana ~ I chose to open my heart along with my hips here to really express receptivity for all I may feel ✨
• The psoas runs so deep within our roots. We hold what grounds us here, what makes us feel safe. Physically creating space here allows us to open up internally and feel a better sense of comfort and security. It is beautiful to mend the physical and emotional parts of our practice and to feel and to heal through it all ✨
day 3 ~
I am one to have no problem expressing my feelings. I feel most alive when emotionally connected and invested and I don’t neglect my feelings because that would be neglecting myself.
I allow myself to feel the full spectrum of my emotions and tell myself it’s okay to feel what I do. I feel like 10 different ways a day and honestly find it humorous. My chart says it all 😹
I am not ashamed of tears or of anger. I am happy to feel. It is the time I take for myself that’s important in order to feel. Tuning inward and listening to myself immensely supports my growth. I hear my heart’s truest desires through allowing myself to feel, without judgement 🌻🌸🌺🌼🌷
As you release the need to control, your life becomes an effortless flow 🌊✨
Everything eventually happens the way it’s meant to. Things will come and go, and you will be Here. 🌷 the universe has your back. In the mean time, tune inward, breathe, Be 💛
